after the "i said his name," who doesn't like this man?.... nice finally kick in tuna's arse

Could Wade be the universe's attempt to square things off?.... no, really.... the cat IS a solid coach.... he has an impressive body of work.... maybe we/media/the nfl are judging the man by what his father was.... think 'bout it, his old man was a pit dynasty away from the SB.... the son has made progressive strides at all stops.... mojo?.... some kinda cosmic mystery at work??.... would it not be fitting to see bum celebrate a SB victory with his son? - a son who's toiled 30+ yrs in the nfl?.... is this team not -thatclose- to being dominant?.... we all know the TALENT is there - it's been the leadership - or lack thereof that's kept us sputtering....

i'm hoping he's the "joe torre" type of coach but with alot more on-the-field skills (joe is clueless about X and Os). stepping in at the right time, with a difficult meddling owner who is poised for great success considering the team he's walking into.

either way Wade's defense is something we sorely needed around here. Our D has been soft and pathetic and reactionary - stats aside - for over a decade now.

telling quote:

"It's going to be great for Dallas' defense," Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo said. "Those guys are going to love his system. They're going to do a lot more moving, a lot more blitzing. They're going to have a lot more opportunities to make plays. ... He knows how it's supposed to be done. He's going to get those guys playing hard and playing right."

I'm VERY curious to see who he hires as his D.Coordinator. If compensated properly, I don't see why Singletary wouldn't come and do it. BTW, it's too bad Manusky jumped the gun and went to Frisco. He could've been here with Wade if he would've waited a week. I think Wade is a solid, cerebral, football coach that up until now has been a better D.Coord. than a head coach. But it isn't too late to teach an old dog new tricks and I really think he'll pull out all stops and all tricks to get the job done. I haven't been comfortable with ripping on Norv like alot of folks have, but I did prefer Wade the whole time. We'll see, it should be fun:star: :D

Parcells knows the 3-4 from a strategy standpoint but Phillips knows the tactical aspects of it. In other words, Parcells knows how to build a 3-4 but not how to use it very well. Wade knows how to use it to its fullest extent and has proven it everywhere he has been.

We should FINALLY get to see an attacking style of defense in Dallas again!

All the Zimrod supporters are going to be blown away when they see what Phillips can do with the same players he couldn't blitz with.

Good observation.

BP I think got spoiled into thinking vanilla schemes are the way to go, when he was with the Giants.

You can play straight up all the time when you have a defense filled with HOF type players lining up for ya.

Its gonna be fun watching this style of defense!

I think BP THOUGHT he had some really top players now that could, in THIS era of less talented teams, go one on one and be dominant. He was wrong.
