Detroit did not really stop us today. We put up 28 but the defense kept putting us behind in the game so it seemed like we really struggled offensively when we really didn't. Romo made the most of his opportunities so I hang the poor play today on the defense.

All this blueprint talk is silly of 12 win teams.....

Fact is teams can't stop them and last I checked only ONE team went undefeated in NFL history.

Fact is Dallas has blueprint to hammer NFL.....

There might be a blueprint to slow down TO but not necassarily the whole offense. We still scored 28 points.

And we were one foot from to scoring 35, even with a missed field goal. And we did it on only nine possessions.

They played cover 2 almost every play and they had a linebacker shading TO underneath also. They just made him take everything underneath. Thats how they play defense. Patriots dont play like that, nor do alot of other teams in this league. This game has nothing to do with what happens in the future. Lions played scared defense today. Anybody could see that.

So fellars, did the Detroit Lions provide a Blueprint on how to stop the Dallas Cowboys?

To some degree...yes. We could not stop them on defense. We just looked helpless on D. I think you will see a lot of teams try to spread us out

They already try that every week. Worked one time.

No one stops us, thank goodness....because our defense makes me scratch my head at times. It's one thing when a backup QB from QB dinks and dunks you, but Detrot played smash mouth football and basically kicked the crap out of our front 7 most of the game until we made the run a priority. And while Kitna had a very good game, finding receivers open again and again, making some really nice throws, a lot of that had to do with the fact that we couldn't get any pressure on him to speak of.

Ware and Ellis were going hard, but they just couldn't get there, and Canty and Spears weren't doing much either, though Canty did make plays versus the run.

Today, Ratliff may have made more big plays than anyone on the defense.

No, they provided a blueprint on how to lose to the Cowboys, 28-27...

I think the whole idea of "blueprints" is entirely overblown.

Teams know what they're doing in this league. None of them need "blueprints."

I totally agree. This "Blueprint" word seems to be all the rage right now, just like "Vanilla" is in the preseason.

Don't you think the film would show the Cowboys just as much as the opponents? It lets the Cowboys fix some problems in the D, while it provides opponents ways to expoit it. I see no advantage to either side.
