I have seen fans giving props to different players for the win over Philly, and rightfully so, but I haven't seen any Bruce Carter love.

His INT to seal the deal was beautiful, thought he read the play perfect and made a great play to snag the ball out the air. Thought he was close on a few plays from tipping the ball and came up short but if we are going to make a run Carter needs to play like he did on that last series.

Great job Carter keep up that type of play and you will have a spot on this team

It's his play against the run that has people scratching their heads, or read and react situations. Carter is money on obvious passing downs.

What Carter does well is that he doesn't bite on pump fakes when he drops in zone. That's how he got the INT against Brees and same with Sanchez.

Say what you want about Sanchez, but that guy has some wicked pump fakes. He fooled the camera a few times last night, and me more than a few times.
I'm not a fan of Carters--mostly because he's a bit unreliable--but he's a physical freak, and that pick was beautiful.

If Carter was a few pounds lighter and a few seconds faster he would make a pretty good safety. I frankly think he's our best zone defender. Its his ability to play the linebacker position well thats the problem. He's nothing more than a safety trapped in a Linebacker's body.

He has safety speed, 4.4. His coverage at times is suspect but sometimes he plays lights out. Would love to keep him on the team, another year in the system he will beast

They blitzed him too last night. Right up the A gap. He got stoned. I was hoping they blitz him from the outside stunting with the DE. I think he has the speed to be a good outside pass rusher.

Earlier in the year he blitzed right up the middle and got the sack

He wont be here next year. Disapears for far too often. Epitome of a journeyman.

I don't get Carter, he plays like a stud one game and then turns to Casper the next......................you just never know which Carter is going to show up on gameday.

I want Carter back for his package play, and a hope that he becomes a hard nosed linebacker in the end.

He must not be, because unless my eyes deceived me, it was Hitch and RoMac in the nickel.

He plays a lot of nickel still. They've been rotating them a lot. Sometimes it's Carter and McLain. Sometimes it's even Hitchens and Carter.

Carter pursues well and is decent in pass coverage. Where he is lacking is in the ability to shed blocks and fill the hole on run plays. Is that (love) good enough? :)

Big play to end the game by Bruce, what hurts Carter is the inconsistent play. I know he has the athletic ability to be outstanding and I think it is the glimpse we see or I see that aggravates you when he is not doing it on a more consistent basis. In my view he could be a star in this league if there was more effort in his play
