I hope everyone was happy going 8-8 this year because if things continue the way they have gone so far we might be looking at a much worse season in 2012. :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Not blaming all of this on Jerry (for once), because the sodomizing of the Cowboys & Commanders by the league has really hampered our ability to sign FAs. All the more reason why we need to target the guys we want and sign them quickly rather than waiting around for the table scraps like we have the last few years.

I just have this terrible feeling in my stomach that we will go into the 2012 season with no real improvements in the O-Line, D-Line, or DBs. We will likely pass on DeCastro and either trade down for more picks, that will then be wasted on backups, or spend the 1st rounder on a DB who is a headcase and won't produce for us.

If we somehow sign Carr, things will look up for me but at this juncture I don't see us doing it and he'll sign with someone else.

I hope that by bolding my disclaimer in the opening statement that people will read it and not jump down my throat as a defeatist. Yeah right.

the oline will be improved just by the youngsters growing up.

It feels like we just lost a game the way some of the zoners are talking. :bang2:

I wonder if the OP doesnt realize that every reporter with a pulse says Carr to Dallas is going to happen?

I have an idea...deja vu.

Why not try a simile based purely on pessimism...and see where that takes the topic? Then throw in insult upon another category of fans to make it acceptable. Oh, and then don't forget the disclaimer for all but content...(drum roll and cymbal crash, followed by a sneer by the drunk at the table next to yours)

I was kind of hoping for 6-10, but I can live with 8-8 as long as we keep up the downward trajectory. If everything stays exactly the same as it has the first 18 hours of free agency, I think we've got a good shot.

this mess actually began with franchising of Spencer. Dallas has to commit to that 9 million even if Spencer hasn't signed tender yet. I think there is possibility Dallas loses Robinson and maybe Carr due to Spencer franchise tag.

24 hours into free agency and the pandemonium is so much fun.

Everyone knows that signing free agents = championship.

Dude, check your watch, we're 20 hours into free agency and we haven't signed, Carr, Nicks, Williams, Robinson, Peyton Manning, Jim Brown, the 1927 Yankees and filled all of our needs on the offensive line, defensive backfield, backup quarterback and tight end, defensive line, trainers and Cowboys Stadium concessionaires. This is proof positive that Jerry, sucks, Garrett sucks, and we will not win another game the rest of the decade.

And.....I'm only mildly paraphrasing most of the posts this morning.

Maybe you should change your name to Jumper?

Sorry, just kidding you, man. Had to do it. Have some faith. The future is not set.

It's day 2 of Free Agency.

Just saying.

no joke. while it is a bit uneasy waiting to hear the carr situation get finalized, we're already drafting in the top 10 next year? maybe we should start tanking now so that we can position ourselves for a better pick...
