After what happened to Woodson today and of course Romo, I hope Jerry finally replaces that concrete turf.

:)

That turf hasn't looked right to me in 2 years. He needs to just go to Field Turf or go back to the one they had at Texas Stadium. Plus, the work they did in putting on the logos was horrible. The surface looked uneven. It looked like training camp at the Alamodome instead of the big game

He's using an upgraded version of RealGrass, which is the same surface that was in Texas Stadium. Texas Stadium, by the way, was the first stadium to ever use this kind of turf instead of astro turf.

I believe several players have remarked on how nice a surface it is compared to the other turfs. It is definitely the best out there right now. Jerry didn't skimp on the field.

The NFL did put in new patches of turf where the logos and endzones were, and that created an uneven playing surface.

Romo didn't break his collar bone because of the turf, his back landed on the turf, not his collar bone. He broke it because of the way the defender landed on him.

I've been on the field and it's great, soft, flexible and not abrasive. I do wish though it was a little more green in color.

Yeah I dunno where it ranks in terms of playing comfort but my complaint is more aesthetically. A lot of splotches and dark spots on there that make it look like it's wet

Agreed. I've been on the turf also and it's very good. People who complain about it being hard, don't know what they're talking about.

You do see players slip on it.

Looked like crap.

What a week to remember (for all the wrong reasons).

Jones and company bungled everything.

I think the NFL is to blame. They take over all preparations for the SB IIRC.

Maybe so...but after the practice building collapsed in Valley Ranch and then the guy slides off the roof during the new stadium construction...

Let's not forget there were major irregularities with the vendor's credentials (the guys who built the practice dome)

At one point do you just say, "Good lawd...what's your story, Mr. Jones?"

I thought you were talking about this week, being a week to remember. Sorry.

There's nothing wrong with the field. Its one of the highest quality surfaces in sports.

Some people just complain for the sake of complaining. The game was fine, the field was fine, the HT show was fine. Give it a rest people. The only thing that went wrong was upper deck end zone seating issue, which I think they partly resolved. Jerry WILL get another SB in his stadium.

BOTH of those injuries STILL happen even if they land on a Sleep Number mattress.

:laugh2:

wow some just look for any desperate reason to rag on Jerruh. pathetic.

I don't think those injuries were turf injuries. They were football injuries and those happen when your body parts get twisted in ways they are not meant to bend. I've never heard one player complain about the turf. That is your litmus test.

Yep, the blame TOTALLY goes to the NFL for Super Bowls. They laid down the turf for this one, not Jerry!!!

Why don't you go troll somewhere else. Your act is so old.

I've been on the field. It's nice. Though, I would think all those little rubber pellets would get in your eyes.

The new stadium is Jerrys Legacy. I wish it had been fielding a consistent winner.

I can name several stadiums In the NFL that are more football friendly and better from a home field advantage standpoint.

Kudos on this great accomplishment.
