From what I understand this now puts the Mavs in a horrible spot, timing-wise.

Bosh signs with Houston.
Houston then can wait until Sunday at midnight to match for Parsons - and in the meantime its likely plan B options (Ariza, Deng) go off the market.

Sounds like Dirk is going to get the short end of the stick once again....fingers crossed.

The Mavs are screwed. The Rockets are making trades and moving guys to get enough space to sign Bosh and keep Parsons.

Looks like Bosh will stay with Miami.

That probably means the Rockets are going to "match" to keep Parsons.

Not necessarily, this really screwed up the rockets plans. They could take being locked up with both those guys, but matching Parsons without another top player could keep them from contending in future years. There plan went up in flames.

Imo that's highly unlikely given the fact that the Rox have reportedly agreed to terms with Ariza.

Looks like Mavs are getting Parsons afterall. Houston taking a pass and they might do a SnT even.

Yeah, that's good news. I've tuned out sports other than my teams the past few years - I hear Parsons is well rounded with all-star upside. Can anyone speak to his style of play, strenghts, etc? thx.
