I hope Moore takes a HC job

I didn’t want to make him OC when Garrett was here and I didn’t want to keep him as OC when McCarthy got here.

This is a Jones thing and Dak is cool with it because he’s comfortable with Moore. Even signed up for it when asked if Moore should go to OC.

I remember when Mike McCarthy was calling his own plays, how he was applauded as an elite offensive mind for years. Then…….

So McCarthy has a more polished history calling plays and Ben McAdoo got a HC job because of his offensive play calling. They’re both on this team.

I see a lot of carrot vanilla cream in this offense since Cooper Rush played.

Vance Joseph isn’t the only DC who has outcoached Moore this season. Fangio, Spagnuolo (we were missing Tyron and Cooper) and now Joseph.

You got experience as a DC and +500 talent on defense. You will eat Kellen Moore’s lunch.

I want McCarthy to have his own guy or himself calling plays in year 3 which may be his last.

Who’s going to hire Moore to be HC anyways?

Boise State?

Pete Carroll might be on the market. Pretty sure he would get first dibs, as well as Zimmer if he becomes available.

If I was Jacksonville I would want Carroll way before Moore. What staff could Moore put together anyways? Call up Jason Garrett and see if he has any guys for him? Lol. Moore’s a Jerry’s kid.

I’m so tired of his inconsistent offense/play calling. The talent on this team has made him a false good play caller. Could you imagine Andy Reid or Sean Payton with all this talent consistently having these kind of awful games. He is so in over his head. He racks up tons of yards against bad teams or late meaningless yards.

‘Problem is his replacement would probably be Doug Nussmeier he is terrible calling plays.

The route combos have been trash and he never schemes a player open with rubs or picks or motion. You watch good offensive teams and they constantly do these things. Even create mismatches like line coop in the slot and make a safety cover him. And dont get me started on the run play calls. It is god awful

He did it once with Wilson on the two point conversion. Not sure why they don’t do it more though. Adams and Kupp are always moving around and getting favorable matchups.

In the playoffs I would use Pollard more on early downs and Zeke more on third downs. Motion guys around more, sprint Dak out more, and try to run more slants/crossing routes with the WRs.

Another great Jerry decision to retain him after firing Garrett.
A month ago fans right here wanted to fire MM and make him HC
Now they pray he gets hired by another team
And if he does and has success those very fans will bash Jerry for letting him get away

if the OL blocked better and got less penalty's the rest fo the team and coaches would look better..this is not truly on moore or any single player, the OL itself as group and the TE blocking and penalty's all horrible last night and the cause for the up and down offsne. thats a fact

I am not as down on Moore as many of you, but I do have some criticisms:

1. I think his focus was on something other than the Cowboys today. (Jaguars, possibly).

2. Kellen Moore’s Achilles heel is running the football. He doesn’t know how, or when or where to run the ball. He unimaginatively seems to call the same running plays between the tackles play after play and then abandons the run altogether.

3. He seems to refuse to incorporate Dak into the running game. 3 or for designed running plays for Dak would really change the defenses aggressiveness.

4. He gets away from what works. He went from using a lot of “motion” to much less at times. I don’t get why he won’t incorporate motion more effectively.

5. His tendencies have become predictable.
I’m down on Moore for several reasons but I’m not sure he doesn’t want to run the ball. It could very well be that we simply can’t run the ball because our Oline is trash right now. We can’t block anyone so maybe he figures why keep banging our heads against the wall. Who knows his true thought process.

I'd rather keep Dan Quinn over him at this point. He can't even be fully focused on game planning and making adjustments during the game, when he has an interview with the Jaguars coming up. Maybe he'll take the job, since the NFL has figured him out. It's not all on Dak, as there have been some questionable play calling as of late.

I don't believe that every call on the OL has been the correct one. But they have really hampered the offense with their drive killing penalties. Anytime the offense got something decent going, the OL would stall the drive with a penalty. And as a result the offense fails to score points earlier and Dak receives a lot of blame and criticism for the offense not getting off to a better start.

agree, but jerry likes him so.......

Exactly he does nothing he relies on better talent to win on every down its ridiculous

not just the penalties they aren't blocking or opening holes either. Its just been bad.

It's not just the Cowboys game that they are being called out for horrible officiating.

If he has success somewhere else that will just signify the bad luck in Cowboy land for all these years.

Moore has much to learn about managing an offense
Just like any other young OC or even some with years of experience
Just like MM there is good and bad
But with both I think the good out weighs the bad
Moore will get better and in some ways he already has
He needs to learn late game with a lead you milk the clock, and the run game is the key to the passing game
When he learns those two things he will be really good
