Did he make any of you nervous on Sunday? I felt like everytime they punted I was nervous. I dont like how he waits so long to make a deceision and how he sometimes falls once he catches the ball. Does anyone know if he's expected to suit? I feel much safer with Patrick

He made me very nervous too, but I still expect he will suit up and play.

I'm not a big fan of Crayton either. I like his hands in receiving the punt, but he seems to be pretty reckless in how he carries the ball.

I was at the game and he made me so nervous....I tell ya, he is shaky at best back there for now.

He was going to be part of a play out of the backfield, but they had to call timeout then changed the play. I saw what happened, Skylar came in and was suppossed to get Fasano out, but instead he told JJ to go, and Bill tried to send JJ back in, then they ran out of time. When they came out of the time out Skyler was still in, but id bet anything the play was changed. They wanted JJ and Skyler in the backfield and they wanted to take Houston by surprisde with it...I really wish it would have went in correctly, cause i am curious to what they were going to do..During that Time out, Bill was just flat out blasting Skyler about his F-up!

I don't understand why anyone was worried about Skyler. He didn't have much of a chance of returning any of those punts because the Texans punter kicks high and short. He pretty much underkicks the coverage every play. Sure he had the penalty, but this guy returned punts and kicks all through college. He's not going to drop the ball.

Ryan Leaf threw TD's all through college - what happened there?

If Green keeps diving to field punts, lets punts hit the ground and then tries to field tough hops, and fails to call fair catches with defenders ready to hit him immediately, he WILL drop the ball eventually, and too often.

I like Skyler and I think he will be a good one for us. Now he did look a little off on his judging the ball in the air,, it could have been the weather in TX stadium for the first time, who knows, all i do know, is I watched this kid for years at LSU and he was tremendous. I hope he can translate that into the pro's

green had no chance to return a punt last week. it happens that way sometimes and i don't expect many this week either.
i did get nervous on his returns because he is always moving when he makes the catch.
he will get his shot to show something for a few weeks barring any major mistakes.
the only way to know is put them in there. can't really practice punt returns

He's never dove to field a punt. He picked up one punt that hit the ground, yes, but he seemed to do just fine with it. I haven't seen him fail to call fair catch. He was called on the fair catch penalty, though, but that was probably just a nerves/rookie mistake.

I still don't know why he was called for the penalty. I didn't hear a full explanation. The ball hit the ground and then he fielded it. I thought that once the ball hits the ground, the returner can advance it even after a fair catch signal. Was the rule changed?

YES, Green made me extremely nervous. Everytime he caught a punt he didn't have his feet squarely underneath him and was already stumbling so he never gave himself a chance to get any kind of return, he was halfway tackled already.
Crayton was a lot better back there than Green was last week. I hope Green turns it around but it wasn't pretty.

He was half-way tackled already because the kicks were really high and really short. That's why he was always running up to them. It had nothing to do with what Skyler was doing, and everything to do with what the Texans punter was doing.

I was at the game and in warmups he missed 3 or 4 punts! During the game it made me nervous every time he got back there. I was hoping that their punter would send him a line drive just to see what he could do.
