So that we can now have some rational discussions.
We missed Henry big time- no matter what the uneducated one says. Jones is a waste- we should have cut him and kept Glenn. We needed 3 good and healthy CBs yesterday and we only had one. Its clear that Newman is not 100%. Reeves did OK but since he is the 3rd guy that is not a biggie.
We gave too much of a cushion- clearly afraid of being beat on big plays. BUT since we could not stop Brady on 3rd down we died slow instead of fast.

Memo to Garrett: forget that you were a QB and remember that running the ball rests the D and eats up the clock. Try it sometime.

Memo to SOB: time to get tougher on our frequent penalty guys and make the point that you would rather someone not make a play then grab and hold. (Kosier please take note).

We need Terry Glenn back. We need a speed burner to stretch the D. Against the top teams like the Pats the lack shows.

Good points all the way around.

Let me make another point, at the risk of getting educan excited.

Henry is a liability to us. No not his play like educan would like to harp on all the time. But his health.

For whatever reason, whether it is his fault or just a matter of being unlucky, he does not seem to stay healthy.

When you have a player like that it is hard to rely on him throughout the year and that is where our depth becomes a concern.

Reeves has done as good as can be asked considering he is not really ready to be a starting CB. Actually I would argue that he has played beyond my expectations so it is hard to fault the guy.

But we need better depth and that is where losing A. Glenn has cost us.

We can argue that Reeves for the price was better than A. Glenn but I don't see a way we could argue that Jones for Glenn is better. And that is where it is really hurting us.

Now I have to wonder what it could be with a healthy Newman and Henry in the mix but we don't have that right now, which goes back to the idea that for whatever reason we seem to always have a CB named henry that has some type of injury.

I have a feeling, like many others I am sure, that one of our two first rounders next year will be a CB to help with this problem.

We will see how things pan out.

I agree with all of you--but, it is early and we can get better in those areas.

Dayam good showing Dallas. The Cowboys looked strong, and represented themselves very well. Didn't root for either team, but would have preferred the Cowboys to win (NFC-East team against the team that beat the Eagles in the 2004 Superbowl).

You looked great!

Sure we can. But it is something we need to work on. Something that will need to be addressed in the offseason as well.

Gotta Add in Terry Glenn in the "needed" column........We needed to be a full strength...........

A offensive toy like Welker would be a tool to have.......in the slot, he gets open so quick.........Brady 2 step drop.....11 catches 124 yds.........sure he is the beneficiary of Moss but in the slot he is something.

Thanks.

I think we looked good up until the 4th quarter.

Penalties really hurt us vs the Pats. They are just too good whereby you can't make stupid mistakes.

The other thing that hurt was the slow start by our offense (again). The Defense was just too tired heading into the 4th.

I'd like to see how we perform with a healthy secondary and with T Glenn . . . .

I'll need video proof.
