I hope we pick Noah Spence today

I've got to admit. He is tempting. We need a pure pass rusher and he is one. I just worry about so many troubled guys, but Spence in the second round is like drafting Gregory in the second round. While Gregory was disappointing last season, I do not believe that he will stay that way. He is just too talented. I think Spence is the same.

I say if he is there. Take him

I see you believe in the 'ole 3rd times the charm' scenario for drafting DEs with drug problems. No thanks.

His drug problem was X.. Im really not worried about him repeatedly using that drug and he has implemented harsh drug testing on himself since and he has passed all of them.

I would take Ogbah too though or a DT.

Myles JAck is there but word is he will need microfracture surgery.

Jack or Spence for me at 34 please.

Dodd DE from Clemson would be my selection and I agree with floaty on Sterling Shepherd WR Okla
in the 3rd Round hes a nice compliment to Dez personally I love Shepherd if available in 3rd Round just
adding Elliott and Shepherd makes our Offense very tough to defend !!!

Video really says it all. We need that.

Catch,

Can you tell me what you see that stands out in this vid? He has nice burst upfield but it looks like he is always taken wide by the tackle and is not really impacting the play. I may have missed others but I thought I saw one legitimate hurry that he directly caused. When he lined up at RDE Conklin seemed to easily take him upfield, keeping the QB's back side protected. Granted, Conklin is a top-notch tackle, but almost every LT in the NFL is going to be at or near Conklin's level. I saw some plays while he was at EKU where his upfield, outside rush beat the tackle and he got to the QB. His TFLs and sacks at EKU are definitely impressive. Seems like he shows (in this vid) some good recognition but also gets engulfed in the running game at times. The guy is muscular and compact, and a 4.8 40 and 25 reps are good numbers. To me - and I don't watch as much tape as most guys here - I don't see an inside move on his pass rush, no ability to go upfield and take it inside across the tackle's chest and inside his left shoulder (RT) or right shoulder (LT). Also, I've seen him listed at 6'2" 251 and 6'3" 261. I'd appreciate your thoughts and tell me what I'm missing. I think he is a good player, no doubt, but are there better options at 34? Thanks.

Dodd will be an average player at best IMO. I think Anthony Spencer is probably twice the player he will become. Spencer is a better pass rusher and run stopper. There are much better choices in the draft than Dodd at this point.

Maybe Spence, Gregory and Lawrence could work out a schedule on "who gets suspended when" so that at least two of them are free to play football.

It could work!

When I watch him, I don't see a high event player. Once he hits the NFL quality OL, he is going to vanish. I prefer Spence.

Maybe.. I like him. I feel like he has a ton of upside and MArinelli is the right guy to bring it out.

Spence is too light in the pants and another Tweener...we already have one in Gregory
