I just had a terrible thought

In one of my more lucid moments, I thought about the possibility of Dallas playing Cleveland in the Superbowl.

Our two first round picks would be worth little more than two second round picks.

The Brownies need to start tanking bad.

(Sorry if this has been discussed before)

That is no terrible thought, as we'd certainly beat the Browns were we to meet them in the Superbowl. ;)

Nothing terrible about that thought. We'd be in the Super Bowl.

I posted something exactly like this a while back. I kinda hope it doesn't happen. I want to play the Pats.

The trade was still worth it.

I agree. Ill make that trade any day of the week. Gaining extra picks for moving back a handful of spots and picking up a future 1st on a team that no one expects to compete is a golden opportunity. Just hasn't worked out for Dallas the last few times but Ill still take the trade.

Uh... BIG picture if its us vs. the Browns and we win... then we have(in effect) three 2nd round picks... well worth it LOL

Look at it this way.

We will be getting 2 of the 32 best players.

I'm sorry, but on what planet is this a "horrible" scenario?

Isn't that our goal? To make the Super Bowl and hopefully win it? Since when was our goal having high draft picks?

Draft picks are nothing on their own... they only serve the larger purpose of building a team that is capable of winning a Super Bowl.

I would trade all of our picks next year for a Super Bowl this year.

No... we will get 2 of the first 31 or 32 players drafted. There is no guaranteeing the "best".

I hope your dream would come true because we would smoke those bums. They ain't that good, playing their last place schedule, play in a weak division (aside from Pittsburgh-who they should've beat once) and drew the weak-kneed NFC West to boot.

Ahh, but usually the first 8-10 are the only true franchise type players. We need an impact player at receiver, CB, and maybe RB.

The bright side is that Parcells is not here, so we won't take LB & TE with the picks.

We'd actually get 2 of the best 31 players, the 1st round only has 31 picks this year thanks to Bellicheat.

It would only be a nightmare in my family. My father is a diehard Browns fan.
