I just love how the National and Boston media is just letting Randy Moss slide instead of ripping him. Their going out of their way to make this a non-issue and a non-distraction.

God knows, if it was T. O. or Romo and if this was the Dallas Cowboys involved, The National and Dallas media would never let this issue die and would go out of their way to make it a distraction.:bang2::mad:

Some woman friend of Randy Moss of many years made an allegation that he hit her or beat or up or something like that.

Randy characterized it as an "accident" Maybe she was dancing on a table and a drunk Moss tipped her over? :p:

Copy... Haven't heard it. Oh well, we'll see what comes out. But didn't the article say that 20 reporters and a dozen cameras surrounded his locker or something like that? Doesn't sound like they are going easy on him.

Dude, I don't think everybody has it out for the Cowboys.

Moss has made mistakes over the years and certainly showed levels of maturity needed to be reached. But...this whole thing seems a little far fetched.

Pacman Jones isn't exactly a superstar, but he is thrown through the ringer whenever the get a little bit of info about him.

Just the fact some people like you haven't heard about the Moss issue shows how much the media is trying to down play it, while the media forced the Romo Mexican vacation (which really was a non-issue) into a HUGE issue and a distraction.

To clarify-the media distractions caused by Romo's trip to Cabo did NOT have an affect on the game.

And besides, I believe the ONLY defensive player that went to Cabo with him was Bobby Carpenter(Read-he's not a starter and WASN'T defending on that Giants' late 1st half TD drive). If Jacques Reeves was there with Tony, MAYBE I might think differently.:p:

Not really-it was mostly Access Hollywood, TMZ, ET, and all these entertainment tabloid shows that ran away with it(and all BSPN was follow up on it to catch up to their ratings, or whatever). And it largely had to do with Simpson.

OTOH-the mainstream American public have no idea who Randy Moss is.

I 100% agree that it did not have an affect on the game. But espn and the national sports media would not let that story die.

Yeah, but the ENTIRE National sports media (ESPN, SI, CBS Sportsline, NY Media, Fox Sports, East Coast Media, NBC Sports, TNT sports, The Sporting News, The NFL Network and etc.) and the local Dallas media would not let the Romo Vacation story die the entire week. They were going out of their way to make this story a distraction and more of an issue than it really was, while now their basically just downplaying the Randy Moss incident, trying to make it a non-issue or a non-distraction. The Randy moss incident is getting Lukewarm Reaction from the national sports media, while The Romo Vacation was getting a HUGE reaction.

Well, this just really just proves based on the reaction from the National Media the Cowboys are America's Team and that the Pats are just Boston's # 3 team at best behind the Red Sox and the Celtics.

What really pissed me off was how some of our "responsible" guys in the media, like Nate Newton, Randy Galloway, and JJ Taylor were running away with this story during the bye week as well.

Overall-I really respect the DFW media for being objective and on the ball with stories consistently(unlike that Philly-biased-homer media that reports 99% positive news about their Eagles daily). However, I'm dissapointed that our guys could at least be a bit more responsible.

Are you seriously suggesting that the national media has an anti-cowboys agenda??? REALLY?!

Let me let you in on this big conspiracy. The media exists to sell itself. Newspapers print ads and sell on the newstand. Sports networks and shows sell ad time. It's how they make money. If they think Romo's vacation will sell those ads, they'll air it. Obviously, they were right because we're still talking about it right? To think they'd turn down money because they hate the Cowboys is idiotic. And the Cowboys fans are the ones feeding the fire.

Personally-I could care less what the national media says or does-most of it is entertainment anyways.

What really gets me is how the DFW media itself is largely negative to the Dallas teams. They are overall objective and up to the date with alot of stories going on, but nonetheless go on the negative side once too often. Even Nate Newton and Jean-Jacques Taylor, 2 of the more respected guys in the DFW sports media, were running away with this Romo/Jessica Cabo story.

BTW-ESPN now feels like PNN(Packers News Network)-they're starting to run away with some story how "The Giants are a dirty team".

Check out the other thread (key plays or something to that effect). Some fans (Cowboys) agree.

I can't speak to DFW media, but I know that's the case here in Washington. They'll praise you up and down and say everything you do is gold and good when you're winning. Lose a big one or lose a couple and everything is complete crap and they knew it all along. At least, that's how it is in Washington.

Here's the thing about the DFW media-even when we WIN, they dog the teams like they're a POS, sometimes.

Like when we beat you guys in Irving in Dec. Yeah-it wasn't a pretty win, and the Skins had their chances, but nonetheless, it was a good win(especially coming off 2 other NFCE wins). However-all our media did was go on and on why we let some inexperienced QB throw for 350 yards, and how the sky was falling.(I thought it was a very good game by Campbell, and yet another tough NFCE matchup)

Same with the Packers game-all Randy Galloway did was rant on and on how "we got lucky with the refs" which decided the game.

The thing with T.O is he is kind of annoying, and high maintainence. Where is randy seems depressed and angry sometimes. T.O. just carries on for the camera which is sad. Randy might have some mental disorder.
