I work at Newark Airport & one of my buddies escorts celebrities & athletes around the airport to their flights. He saw me walking by and introduced me to him as "the biggest Cowboy fan he will ever meet". Strahan said "That's cool".
I shook his hand & said "You guys killed me a couple of years ago."
He laughed and said "They killed themselves. Out of all three playoff games we should not have one that one. We were afraid to play them."
I said "where was he when I was saying that to every Giant fan I knew after the game." (And living in New Jersey I know quite a few).
I actually never liked the man but have a new found respect for him. he was pretty cool.

He's really cool. I chatted with him for a few minutes when he came up to watch the Army-Iowa State game that was on ESPN a few years back. When I shook his hand it was like shaking hands with a giant I swear he engulfed my entire hand and wrist. That guy looked like he had pads on when he was walking around in slacks and a button up.

He's a great guy though, really personable.

Wow....I am amazed that he would admit that.

That's weird.

I would've thought Strahan would come off like a *******. Interesting.

It's really nice when you see the human side to some of these guys. I met Golic and Greenie at the NFL Draft in 2006 when I was there on Day 2. Just normal guys who like to shoot the breeze about football.

I've taken jabs at Strahan in the past, as he's set himself up for them quite often....but he's not a guy I've ever really developed a distain for. He always seems very personable. I like him on FOX's pregame show too. It's the only one I can bear to watch.

I would have thought the same thing also just from his TV personna but he was a really nice guy. We would have talked longer but his flight was getting ready to board. I never got the impression he was just being cordial.

He does seem like a really nice guy. He would probably to be pretty cool to hangout with and talk football over beers. You should have asked him why, after all these years (and boat loads of money), hasn't he gotten that gap corrected. :D

From most of the people who have met him, most say Michael Strahan is real cool and down to earth. He is from Texas so I can't hate on the guy too much.

Also, Michael Strahan stated right after their Super Bowl win that the Cowboys were the best team they faced in the Playoffs that year, including the Patriots.

To me, that is more depressing then seeing it as a compliment.

He's said a lot of times Dallas was the best team they played that year.

He's from Houston and a few years ago ESPN or FOX had a feature on him while he was visiting his parents in Houston and one of his cousins walks in the house wearing a Cowboy's cap and Strahan said "he's confused". It was funny.

Dallas went into that game having defeated the Giants three straight times.

On the first drive, a 12 yard curl route turned into a 52 yard TD and a Giants
7-0 lead.

That play set the tone for the entire game.

That play gave NY confidence and hope, and it made Dallas counter with two drives to take the lead.

We know the rest of the story.
