I knew it was coming, but it's hard to watch

I grew up loving the Dallas Cowboys. Roger Staubach, Danny White, Clifford Harris, Charlie Waters, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill; these were my childhood heroes.
Then the eighties were hard. Landry was getting older, and the offensive talent wasn't the same. Drew Pearson retired, Tony Dorsett wasn't the same, and Danny White's benching was hard to take.
Not to mention the talent on defense diminishing as Randy White, Harvey Martin, Ed Jones and the rest were getting older.
Then Jerry bought them and hired Jimmy Johnson. He was, in my opinion, the ONLY coach that could turn the Cowboys around. He lived in a house with white carpet- a testament to his perfectionist ideals.
The early nineties were great. Jimmy had the Cowboys winning by the third season, and the team he built may well have been the best team the NFL has ever seen. Troy, Michael, Emmitt, Alvin Harper, and Moose Johnston were glorious to watch. The "Great Wall of Dallas" -that offensive line - they rolled over defenses and imposed their will on opposing teams. Ken Norton Jr punched the goal posts and fired up a defense that could shut down other great teams.
Because, then the NFL was still about football. There we were other great teams; the Commanders and Giants were powerhouses, along with the 49'ers.
But the Cowboys were the best of the best.
Then Jerry's circus began.
In the 32 years since Jerry declared "Anyone could coach this team", the Cowboys and the NFL were under Jerry's thumb. As the flagship franchise of the NFL, Jerry had his way in marketing, profit sharing, and players union negotiations.
He showed the NFL how to make mega dollars by becoming an entertainment business instead of a football league, and storylines began to dominate the NFL headlines. Beginning with, "This one's for John", getting the Packers back in the Super Bowl, even letting the Patriots win the Super Bowl after 9/11, the storylines continued. Getting Peyton a trophy, then letting the Saints win after Katrina, letting Eli win a trophy and then getting Peyton another one so the Manning brothers each had two. And every team that was building a Super stadium miraculously made it to the Super Bowl, helping PSL sales.
And now the game is so sickening fans are turning the channel. Referees are being exposed, and fans can see the obvious bad calls.
And now the end of America's Team. Jerry took the fans for granted that made him a billionaire and made it clear that the Cowboys were his team, not America's.
Jerry’s circus has not only destroyed the Cowboys, but the NFL as well.
Gambling has replaced wholesome family entertainment, and the NFL's new logo should have a dollar sign in it.
Muscle bound athletes run up and down the field in fancy costumes and makeup and they show off their athleticism for the fans, much like the WWF.
And 98% of the games ending with scores that mirror point spreads.
I could see it coming, but I only saw the Cowboys reign as America's Team coming to an end. But the NFL's infatuation with Taylor Swift and the money they can make with her fans coming on board is backfiring on them.
More people are complaining about the calls that keep the Chiefs going, and across social media the message that the NFL rigged is gaining steam.
It's really hard to watch.
