I've never done this many in an offseason before, I think it's because there are so many possibilties for where we can go with these picks. I think we can get away with murder with our picks in the 3rd thru 5th. There will be some very good players to be had in these middle rounds to me. Our scouting department is hopefully on it's game.

If you'd like a review of some of my earlier work, here are links:

2nd Mock -- http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148153

3rd Mock -- http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148777

Without further ado, here we go:
2(51) -- Duke Robinson G (Oklahoma) 6-5 329, This was a hard choice, do I go OL, LB, or DB. Too much value in middle round LB's to take one here. I'm off the Chung bandwagon, and I don't think Delmas will be there. Sean Smith if there is tempting, but we take this mauler. Kosier your starting spot is in serious jeopardy

3(69) -- Sherrod Martin FS/CB (Troy) 6-1 198, We didn't pick up our hybrid in the 2nd, so this is the pick. Has great upside, he may be the best of the hybrid DB's. Some injury concerns, but I'm not worried about it.

4(101) -- Jason Williams LB (Western Illinois) 6-1 241, I would love to see if he can take over for Burnett as that Nickel LB.

4(117) -- Cody Brown OLB (UCONN) 6-2 244, This is Sidbury Lite, he might not be as refined in technique, but he'll still get after the QB.

5(156) -- Jaimie Thomas G/C (UMD) 6-4 329, I'm also a fan of Vasquez from Texas Tech, but thinking Thomas is better fit because he can play center too. I want Proctor out!

5(166) -- Chris Baker DT (Hampton) 6-2 326, agile, strong athlete to plug into the rotation at NT and DE.

5(172) -- Cornelius Lewis OG/OT (Tennessee St.) 6-4 332, I think he may start off as a guard but will be worked at tackle also. Nasty demeanor

6(197) -- Nathan Brown QB (Central Arkansas) 6-1 219, My pet cat since Senior Bowl. Doesn't have typical NFL size, but he just makes plays.

6(208) -- Brice McCain CB (Utah) 5-9 185, Man to man skills, speed out the wazoo. Said to be the better athlete of the Utah CB combo

7(210) -- Deon Butler WR (Penn St) 5-11 182, I'm still not sure why he's rated so low, but I'll take a WR with return and slot skills, that has done it against top competiton here all day.

7(227) -- Roy Miller DT (Texas) 6-1 310, The more I read about him, the more he reminds me of Ratliff.

Thoughts??

That would be a great draft, but I don't think Cody Brown lasts until the 4th.

In fact, I think he could go as high as the 2nd.

Very nice. I hope it falls this way, though I'd add my pet, Dallas Reynolds, in the 7th.

Pretty good..I like everything except Martin in the 3rd..I'd slide everyone down one notch on your list and get Mcbath in the 4th..most underrated safety in this years class.
