I know it doesn't matter much

We are still 7-5, BUT, we are 5 points, and a dumb play away from being 10-2 right now...Just for conversations sake, this team isn't that bad. Or are they, and I am just on JJ-Juice right now???

Obviously, the near-wins don't count for anything, but, for my money, when healthy, this team has been pretty good all season long, and much of the complaining has been exaggerated the entire time. We're not quite good enough to beat the really good teams, but we're good enough to push them, and we're good enough to consistently beat bad and mediocre ones. If we get better and peak at the right time, we might improve enough to win against other good teams. Until that happens, we're a 7-5 squad in a bad division in a conference full of parity. It's the Seahawks and the Saints in the NFC as far as I can tell, and then a whole knot of teams stuck below that level, including us.

Woulda Coulda Shoulda, we are also a few points from 6 and 6 or worse ;)

Unlike most "realists" I have no issue with JJ or JG. The team isnt a bad team at all. Is it a Super Bowl team? Probably not but anything can happen.

All that being said, I would shed a tear if Kiffin were shown the door. I think its time to set him out to pasture.

It sounds good, but reality is we are, where we are. We control our destiny and having the boys in the playoffs would be awesome. Anything can happen then.

The defense simply has not been good enough and probably has no chance to be this season, except when it comes to takeaways, which have helped cover some of the deficiences.

The offense has been maddening for me. It shows signs of being dominant, like in the second half of today's game. But at other times, can't score more than 14 to 17 points on its own, which simply isn't good enough to win with this defense.

The positive for me is that this offense has the ability to be as good as what we saw against Oakland in the second half. If it does that, it can overcome some of those defensive rough spots. If it plays like it did in the first half against Oakland, good offensive teams will make it difficult to be anything more than that team that's always a play away from being something more.

Ya....the one that sticks in my mind most was, the terrible PI call against Claiborne on that final drive against the (WAY OVERRATED) Chiefs......we shoulda been given a fair chance to beat that team and I think we could have there. A 8-4 team is what I place us as honestly with that win. We were the better team that day.

I think an 8-4 team is a good team......but I agree....TERRIBLE DEFENSE but if we get healthy at the right time, we can overcome that

The exact reason I am very optimistic for next year.
