:shoot6: If people keep predicting this maybe it'll come true eventually..... for the past 5 years it's been "Watch out for the Cardinals"

Not happening. Cardinals are the most cursed franchise I can think of in all of sports. Wikipedia says in 80 years, they've had 6 playoff appearances, and two playoff victories. That means, since the last win was in 90-something (I'm not going to say against whom), we can expect another Cardinal playoff victory in 2030! My 4-month old son will be in perfect position then to be a solid contributor for that monumentous occasion.

I don't want to predict anything, so here's a list of people I think will be in the race.

NFC: Carolina, Chicago, Dallas, Green Bay, New Orleans, Philly, San Fran, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Washington

AFC: Baltimore, Cincy, Denver, Indy, Jax, KC, New England, Pittsburg, San Diego, Tennessee

Thoughts?

Kinda' like when people kept picking the AFC to win a Super Bowl with crossed fingers, they had to be right eventually and look like "bold geniuses" for saying as much.

"Its gonna happen, wait and see, the AFC will prevail!"
Years passed, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996...
Finally in 1997 someone was correct.

NFC Division Winners

East - Dallas Cowboys
West - Arizona Cardinals
North - Minnesota Vikings
South - Tampa Bay BUcs

Wildcard teams: Eagles, Seattle Seahawks

AFC Division Winners

East - New England Patriots
West - San Diego Chargers
North - Baltimore Ravens
South - Indianapolis Colts

Wildcard teams: Bengals, Broncos

I think your AFC teams might turn out that way except I think Denver does not make the playoffs. However, TAMPA wins the South? The Vikings without a quality QB on the roster ,as we speak today, wins the North? I think the Saints have improved themselves greatly over the off season, and should be the favorite to go to the SB, much less make the playoffs.

thats fine id ont care about denver either :D

the vikings i think will take brady and start him from the begining. and yeah the black and blue divison sucks bad. its like a coin toss.

Tampa could win it, i like their defense. if they land Calvin in the draft they will be an offense to mess with, CHris simms will relive his Texas hay-days throwing bombs to Roy Williams (Calvin J. now)

I mentioned it in another thread

Benson is a step down from T.Jones, and can he carry the load? Grossman with less help from Jones, less play fakes. Muahmed againg( I do like their young WR's though).
Tank Johnson
Suer Bowl hangover

The NFC was also about as mediocore as it gets, it will get more competitive
The Bears will be good again this year. They play in a weak division, Benson and Peterson are fine at RB, and Tommy Harris will be back for the entire season. Talent-wise, which is all you should look at, they are stocked defensively and get by on offense...no reason to think they will not be able to do it again.

i think losing their head coach, defensive coordinator AND offensive coordinator will cause them to take a step back this season, even with the most talented team in the league. Besides look who their head coach is currently

You are mad :laugh2:

No way do 2 teams from the North and only one from the East get in in the NFC

and there is no way SF goes to the championship game

Chicago is going to take a step back. I'm still not sold on their QB play.

SF is a good choice to take a step forward. They still lack real threats at WR, but I think we have yet to see how good Vernon Davis is going to be. Frank GOre is as good as anyone not named Ladanian TOmlinson. Defensively they can use some help as well. But the NFC West is pretty weak. Seattle isn't bad, but SF could probably overtake them this year. Basically the NFC West has 3 teams that could easily win the division, especially with Arizona being such a habitual underachiever.

I just think in the topsy turvy parity of the game this would be a fun conclusion to the season and who knows whether the North will rise again!:D

The Bears have shown they can win in the regular season with garbage play from the QB, I dont know why this year would be any different. Even if they do take a step down, they are still good enough to whip up on old man Farve and the rest of the flunkies in the central.
