I know our problem has been not running, but next week is not the time to start

The Seahawks are starting their #3 and #4 corners, as Trufant and Herndon are both out, and have many of our problems in regards to safeties: They don't have a true coverage player back there. Boulware is a hitter, and Hamlin bites harder than Keith Davis on run fakes.

We need to spread them out, use Romo's athleticism to our advantage, and maybe even throw in some no huddle. Make them go 5 and 6 deep on their depth chart at corner, force their scrubs to cover our playmakers in open space. Romo seems to be at his best in 4/5 WR sets out of the shotgun anyway, and Seattle has no chance if some guy named Oliver Celestin ends up on Jason Witten or Jimmy Williams tries to man up on Glenn.

Our running game seems to actually be better from the spread sets, too. Your plan certainly makes sense since our running game has been nonexistant anyway, but I think the key will be Romo needs to protect the ball a little better, and we have to hope the defense can get a stop when we have a lead.

Romo had several opportunities to run today and didnt. He needs to learn to run more often and make teams put a spy or two on him, removing another player from coverage to worry about him.

If Romo can learn exactly when to run and when to throw, we'll be unstoppable. No defense can account for 3 Pro-Bowl caliber recivers and an athletic QB who actually knows how to throw the ball.
