I have been surprised at various reviews I have read. The Hulk was one of my fav comics as a kid but that first movie was so horrible and to be honest the previews of the new one have not gotten me excited at all.

However with the reviews being so good I might have to catch it down the road.

Jennifer Connelly is one of my favorite Actresses and Sam Elliot is absolutely incredible. That fact that both of them got stuck with that dog profoundly depressed me.

It seems I was the only who liked the way the Hulk looked in the first movie. Having used 3D extensively for illustration, I was definitely impressed with the work done on the original movie. I like Eric Bana, too, I think he is a good actor.

I'm not overly impressed with it - I wouldn't name the movie as a favorite, but I don't know why everyone hates the first movie; is it because it's not faithful to the comic book? The most I ever had was the Wolverine Vs. Hulk series, and watching the old series with TV Bill Bixby, so maybe I don't have enough ammo to have expected so much...

I have to be honest. I have never been a comic book reader. So any of my super hero's came from cartoons and or tv. I loved the Hulk series on tv with Bill Bixby. When I heard they were making a Hulk movie I was very excited. HATED the movie. I absolutely hate all this CGI crap. Especially when it looks cartoonish like both hulk movies seem to be. I would rather them do something like the tv series....But thats just me.

Wow.... both of these Movies were terrible.

The Hulk - had potential then they got lost. To adapt the comic book to the screen looked like a real possibility... but then it happened... the movie went on only to ruin itself.

The Incredible Hulk - it was just horrible. Lets steal the bad ending from Iron Man and use it for the Hulk.

I look forward to these movies and both Ironman and The Incredible Hulk were disappointments.

On the docket... Captain America, Thor..... I wont look forward to them... maybe they will get it right.

For Marvel the next on the docket is as follows:

2008
Iron Fist
Never liked the character, so I won't watch it.

2009
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
I will catch this one.

Luke Cage
Never liked Powerman, so again I won't watch it.

2010
Thor
Indifferent, so I probably won't watch it.

2011
The First Avenger: Captain America
Again indifferent, so I probably won't watch it.

Captain America - always liked that one.... I will give it a chance... just seems to hard to bring that one to the screen.... but like Spider-Man atleast he has some arch enemies(Red Skull, Hitler?)..... The Hulk and Iron Man it was boring fluff enemy-wise.

Could not disagree more.

I would be interested in your review. I saw some "good things"(Campo lol) in both movies but not enough to say they were that good....

Nah I liked the first movie too. Was it great? No. But was I entertained? Yes.

Also discussing Iron Man. I like everything except the final fight scene. He basically gets his butt kicked until his girlfriend bails him out.

just goes to show Tony is a wussy :D

I also enjoied both Hulk movies...they aren't goodfellas/scarface type movies where you can easily watch them 20 years down the road but still good...

and in the I.H. where tony approaches the general dude is he refuring to the syrum that made Cap America? cuz if so that Cap movie is going to be horrible as Cap was "made" in WW2

I believe it's been confirmed the CA movie will be set in the WWII era. Or at least start in it.

Finally saw the movie and I loved it. Sure, it's still not on the same level as Batman Begins or Spider-Man I or II, but in retrospect, it was as good as Iron Man.

The decision to scrap the first movie's storyline and return to the drawing board was excellent. The opening sequence, Lou Ferrigano's (sp?) cameo, Banner's travels from Brazil to the U.S.--even the scene from The Courtship of Eddie's Father on Banner's television--all paid homage to the television series and Bill Bixby. Bravo.

Edward Norton got Banner right. Eric Bana should've taken notes. Liv Tyler got the emotional attachment to Banner right also. You could feel the love she had for him--something Jennifer Connelly didn't or wouldn't convey in the first movie. William Hurt was good, but I still prefer Sam Ellioitt's protrayal of General Ross over his--even though Hurt played in the better movie.

The fight scenes were solid. If you've never read the book, you're not aware of The Abomination's power levels, so that's understandable. The introductions of The Leader a.k.a. Dr. Samuel Sterns (the pulsating head was a dead giveaway) and Dr. Sansom were smooth touches. I can't wait to see what they (hopefully) plan for Dr. Sansom's character in the next movie.

The best thing about the first movie for me was the CGI Hulk. This one was even better. Allowing him to converse was a plus. They didn't power down his strength, thank goodness. Even though I had already seen his super thunderclap a few times in the trailers, it was great to see him employ it during the movie.

This one was a keeper. Oh. For those who don't understand the significance of Robert Downey Jr. at the end, that's understandable too. His convo with General Ross about 'forming a team' fits the Marvel universe to a T. We've already seen him in Iron Man. Norton has followed suit with The Incredible Hulk. All that is need now are Ant-Man, The Wasp and Asgardian thunder god Thor and The Avengers are set.

Unless Marvel made some alterations in their titles during the past ten or so years, those were the original five Avengers. Captain America was introduced to the team later on, so there wouldn't be any hurry to slide him into any initial Avengers movie project for that reason *fingers crossed*.

It had its flaws, but overall pretty damn good. Obviously much better than the first.

I have read that Connelly was told to play it very cool instead of showing emotion- which was pretty stupid. I think that could have made quite a difference in the first movie. Not enough to make it really good, but it would have been a couple of steps up from Putrid.

Yeah, I believe so. The rumor is that Marvel is going hard after Leo DiCaprio to play Cap.

As far as TIH...It'll do, until THE DARK KNIGHT. ;) :starspin
