I'll be glad when he is finally traded. Seems like we have a Carr thread every day.

I graduated in 2000 from union, 1 year after DeShawn Stevenson(NBA player) and 1 year before Matt Garza(Pitcher in the Majors).

Everytime Carr's name is brought up, why does all the blame immediately get placed on his OL? Sure they could be and probably are part of his problem but couldn't it also be that he is a crappy QB and not cut out for success in the NFL?

And, even if you do believe that all his past failures should be placed on the OL, the guy is damaged goods at this point. He has taken more sacks in his 5 years in the league than QBs who have spent three times that long in the NFL. He might not be Drew Bledsoe just yet but he is getting there really quick.

Your pwn post makes the point about his o-line being the problem. There isn't a QB in the league that DOESN'T need a competent o-line.....and they aren't even competent.

The OL is a problem but not the only problem. What have you seen out of David Carr that suggests to you that all of his failures should be blamed on his OL? Is it when he holds onto the ball so long that there is no pocket left when he decides to finally do something? Or when he stares down Andre Johnson right from the snap before throwing a pick to the covering corner? Or, my favorite, when it is 3rd & Long and he is chased out of the pocket then runs out of bounds for a 2 yard gain?

Hmmmm...let me think....he's nearly a 70% passer. Think about it....with all of the pressure in his face and he is STILL throwing at that rate? Imagine what he could do with just a little bit of protection.

Better completion % than MOST QB's....including P. Manning and Romo.

Not saying that he is better than either of them....just saying that he could be pretty dang impressive with just a little bit of protection.

Everyone says Carr's problem is the "o-line". Give him a good o-line, and he'll be great! I seem to recall people saying the same thing about Bledsoe for many years. I know Carr has more mobility, but I think the guy is ruined psychologically, kind of like Bledsoe. Call it shell-shock from taking entirely too many sacks.

Some QBs just handicap whatever o-line they're behind. They hold the ball too long. They look for the pass rush instead of looking down the field. They feel pressure when it isn't there. They literally stumble into sacks.

David Carr lacks the leadership skills to be a starting QB in the NFL!!! I'm willing to bet anyone who says different has not watched his games year in and year out... I lived in Houston and anyone in Houston will tell u the same... THE TEAM DOES NOT RESPOND TO HIS PERSONALITY!!!

besides who wants to see his Father at the New Stadium with a 3 foot long Mullet!!!

It wouldn't be bad - and I don't think your statement offends God in any way.

Rest easy.
