Rather than flashy team. And we all probably blame or at least most blame Jerry for being too media hungry.

But maybe Jerry has a point. Can you imagine a SB with Cowboys in it, and regardless who they were playing, regardless of the economy, SB being more hyped than what it is now?

Its not just cowboys fans that are not hyped for this game, but I have heard all week on radio, how disinterested fans are about this SB.

It struck me on Friday, that, for all that we blame Jerry for media hungry idiot, I think he absolutely has a valid point. Heck no way, if Boys were in SB, this SB would be so blah. Steelers might have their travelling fans. But no one will be cowboys, no matter the flavor of the year "America's team" is.

So I guess, what I want to say is, just remember, before you start blasting Jerry not putting together more Blue collar team, why cowboys are America's team. There will always be drama with cowboys, just that the players need to get used to that and not get sucked in. Tall order, but someone has to step up eventually and be the "Michael Irvin" of this team.

No, no I can't imagine a Super Bowl with the Cowboys in it right now. It's been 12 years since we've won a playoff game, so no, I can't imagine a Super Bowl with us in it. All that glitz means squat if you aren't good or disciplined enough to even win a playoff game.

If Jerry wants media play rather than titles, he's doing a fine job. If he wants to win, he must change the way he does business. The ball is and has been in his court.

I think how "hyped" the Super Bowl is very overrated.

Americans in general like Super Teams, High Scoring Games and Dynasties.

As you stated, I would prefer the Cowboys have an image as Blue Collar and tough as nails. However, teams tend to take the personality of the City or Area they represent and Dallas/Ft. Worth is anything but Blue Collar, especially the fans that go to the games.

Im glad for Arizona and Pittsburgh. Both teams played hard and deserve to be in the position they are in.

I could care less who wins as long as it is a good game.

Im a little annoyed by people claiming that the ratings would be higher if the Cowboys were in the Super Bowl, when at the end of the day, all that matters is what happens on the field.

With Jerry Jones running the show, Chemistry, Discipline and playing as a "team" takes a backseat, which is totally the opposite of how the two teams in the Super Bowl approach the game.

Hopefully we can get back to the Super Bowl, but I won't hold my breathe.

Blue collar vs. Flash is more perception than reality. There are plenty of hard working Dallas Cowboys. They just haven't managed to put it all together as a team to reach the ultimate goal of late. I don't buy into the Jerry only cares about publicity and money nonsense. Jerry Jones wants to win! He wants the Dallas Cowboys on top. ALWAYS. No owner or GM is as successful as he would like to be. Only one team wins it all each year. We need to keep that in mind. I'm not naive. I know this organization has some work to do and some questions to answer. But (until the Philly debacle) we were a play here and there from having the record that could've propelled us to where Jerry Jones and every Cowboy fan wants to be. I hate to woulda shoulda coulda, but we coulda and shoulda beaten both Arizona and Pittsburgh and, if we had solved some glaring problems (Read as ST coach, a mentor for Romo, etc.), we woulda. We didn't, but Jerry Jones has helped build a team that has a better chance than most year in and year out. The Cowboys simply underachieved this season. The key is to idenitify the problems, then solve them. Quite a task, but doable.

I want to run our 3 backs at everyone we play and keep Romo moving in the pocket and passing 22 or less times a game...

we might not win a superbowl but we will win a playoff game for sure IMO

It's hard to look/act/be blue collar when you're struttin' around in a new BILLION dollar complex.

I hate to say it but the Cowboys are as "blue collar" as the Yankees or the Lakers.

I still say it comes down to perception. And yes, that is the perception. But remember, all the blue-collar teams are full of millionaires too.

The league is full of "blue collar" teams. The Lions, Packers, Bears, Ravens, yada, yada, yada.

They're all watching the game from the same place the Cowboys are. Home!

That whole "blue collar" thing is overrated and overused.

The Steelers aren't any more "blue collar" than anyone else, regardless of their fanbase. They just happen to be better coached and are more disciplined than 30 other teams.

Winning championships is done through focus, execution, and perseverance. The Cowboys (and 30 other teams) lacked enough of each, or all.

The grass is always greener on the other side.

This may just be the best post I've read in my time here.

The hardliners will say we just are not as talent as we thought, 9-7 is 9-7.

I say there's too much hard evidence to the contrary.

Nobody can argue that we added talent to the 2007 13 win team.

This year we flashed dominance. At times our offense looked as high powered and high scoring as last year.

From the TB game to last few minutes of the Ravens game, we were playing the best defense in football. And lead the league in sacks.

Both our offensive and defensive units have the talent and demonstrated play of top 5 units.

I just want a team that looks like actually 1) practices and 2) cares

Or vice-versa

While I would take a SB win any way I can get it.

I do prefer the "White Collar" Cowboys. The 90's team was a "white collar". The 70's teams and the Cowboys in general throughout their history have been considered higher class "white collar" teams.

So... I am good with white collar Cowboys. We are hated for that reason.

wow interesting.

So the fans who go to Dallas games are what exactly?

IF the team is reflection of the city they are in, then Arizona is what? And why are you happy for them again?

Good grief.

Yes When I think phoenix I think tough blue collar city.....Right.

Dallas is nowhere near a Blue Collar Town.

To continue, just because Dallas isn't a "Blue Collar" town doesn't mean it is inferior to other cities that are or that it is somehow a negative. I'm just stating that it isn't a "Blue Collar" town.
