I Know

I figure it out during the preseason of the year he became the starter. The whole time I wanted Tuna to bench Bledsoe for him, and when he finally did, I was shocked that many thought it was a bad idea. I was also shocked that people thought he played badly in the Giants game. Yeah, he threw a bunch of picks, but our offense came alive when he stepped in.

I was 100% excited about him then and now, and I think the only time I really got down on Romo during his career was after this years Giants game when he threw three picks. I said, Well, I guess this is the best we'll ever get from Romo. He's like a rich man's Rex Grossman. Thankfully, Romo matured, and I forgot all about that.

Same here. I was on the site lobbying for him to take over for Bledsoe from Preseason and some here thought I was smoking crack.

Romo was definitely going to be cut, at that point its likely he would have ended up in Denver with Shanahan. We got so lucky that bonehead Carter screwed up.

This is so true and the thought of it still makes me physically ill.

How could he not have been cut? Carter had to get another shot after 10-6, Vinny was Parcels boy and security blanket and Henson was our future. We had just traded for him, how could we justify cutting him.

And you know Parcels wasn't carrying 4 QBs. Oh god, I still hate to even contemplate what might have been.

Whatever happened to that dude? Was he banned?
I was going to ask that myself. It's been a while since I saw that name.

I didnt know much about Romo. Just a little.

Then Parcells came out in the 2nd half of the Giants game and said, "I am putting Romo in"

I was so happy. I just hated Drew Bledsoe and had a small feeling that Romo, a young guy with a golden opportunity just might be the ticket.

DOnt Say that bro..Romo is great, but there`s no reason to count a mans misfortune as our luck

Speak for yourself. If Carter, who absolutely sucked as an NFL QB hadnt been a bonehead, Romo would be elsewhere and we'd probably still be looking for a QB.
