Lately I've been really listening when Kellen Moore speaks. Whether it be to the press or hard knocks, his interactions have impressed me a bit. If you would of asked me last year I would laughed in regards to the thought of Kellen the Beaver Moore being a head coach in this league, but now I'm not so sure.

It's obvious to me that Moore and Big Mike crafted a nice gameplan against the Buc's defense this last Sunday and I think if most of us were being honest we would all agree that the gameplan was basically what we've always wanted to see from our coaches, because there are times where you have attack a team completely different.

What are your thoughts are Kellen Moore sliding in next year if Big Mike underachieves? At first I was thinking Dan Quinn may be the choice, but the more I think about Kellen may be a very good option considering this league is going with younger coaches that show great promise... I know Moore hasn't done much yet, but I'm starting to see some signs that he may a good choice.

I'm hoping that Big Mike gets it done, I like the guy, but I'm thinking ahead if by chance he fails. We all know Jerry likes Kellen, and by all accounts he is becoming a hot topic around the league.

I hope Moore just keeps stacking this good days and does things the right way
For sure man, he is showing me something big time! His demeanor is giving me sean peyton vibes though and the production is really coming along.

Keep in mind this is really Kellen's first full opportunity to take control of the offense. I believe years ago he was a bit constrained because he was so young and Garrett wanted to keep his hand in the mix, and last year no OTAs, no preseason, limited training camp and injuries put some limits on him.

I think McCarthy will be a good mentor to Moore from a strategy and gameplan perspective. Where McCarthy struggles is in-game management and decision making which is something that shouldnt be an issue at this point in his career. If Moore can learn that part, I have zero problems with him taking over as soon as next season.

Moore is already one of the best coordinators in the NFL. Soon to be recognized around the NFL for his creativity and abilities.

I dont think MM can teach Moore anything when it comes to offense by the way. Moore is beyond MM at this point.

I agree J8. I heard a lot of complaints about not running more, but it was obviously their game plan was to pass a lot against the #1 rush defense. I liked the game plan, I just wish they were more efficient in the red zone. And I believe this will improve after a few games as both sides of the ball need to gel. I really liked the way all weapons were used. The Cowboys are back!

Can we go on a winning streak first.
Then can we win the NFCE next.
Then can we win a playoff game or 2, get to the NFCCG.

THEN we can talk about MM & KM and their future here. Or any where else.
I'm talking if something happens and Big Mike totally drops the ball and a decision has to be made either during the season or after the season. I didn't consider Moore so much before but after hearing him at the podium and see some of the results I'm not so sure he wouldn't be a decent choice. Lets be honest, he is heads and shoulders ahead of Garrett in terms of strategizing.

I agree. The problem is the in-game management and decision making was Garrett's weakness too. We didn't upgrade that area. I'm not sure that we've had any upgrade except exchanging Marinelli for Quinn. And I'm not trying to start a McCarthy vs Garrett debate. Just trying to illustrate that we have been short changed with in game decision making for to long now.

Moore is trying to prove himself as an OC and if he does so then down the line he very likely will get the chance to be a HC but as many know being a great OC or DC does not ensure a person of being a great HC. Way too many examples of top OC and DC who have failed when talking on the role and responsibility as HC. For now I just want to continue to watch Moore in the role he has and watch he grow in that role

Ive been impressed with it but i really hope its not a garrett situation all over again
