I know we are only 2 days into camp, but I really like what I’ve seen from Milton.

Not only does he seem like he’s processing better, but he is showing a little touch along with his cannon arm.

I’m not claiming he will ever be a starter in the league, but he would be the ideal young backup you’d hope for. He has no unfixable flaws (weak arm, short, etc), he plays with a chip on his shoulder, and he is making lemonade out of opportunities on the field.

I’m really excited to see him in preseason

What clips have you seen? Hard to find anything it seems but I like what I’m reading about him.

We like him because we didn't have a scratch your head trade involved with him

Patrick Walker has been posting some clips, and Owning as well. He had a really pretty touch pass to Span Ford against zone, and a great pass on an out and up. Although threw a dime deep on day 1 (can’t remember to who), and scrambled today showing some quick feet and speed.

He’s also done a decent job knowing when to climb the pocket and when to scoot from the clips I saw.

Not a big sample size for 2 days but enough to make me excited about preseason

Milton always had a cannon for an arm. If he can improve his touch and put the ball in tight windows, sky is the limit for him. Question is if he's willing to put the work in and improve his craft and not be content on just being on a 53 roster

Was holding the ball a little too long from what I could see today. Can do that against a defense that can't hit, but not against one that can.

Like what I've seen overall. Some good touch on the ball at times and some good heat into fairly tight windows at time. Seems to have a pass go astray every now and then but not so many that it's a concern.

Hopefully he has learned a lot over the last two months.

He needs a lot of work.

I think the Cowboys are better off at the QB2 position this season also. Milton has more tools than Rush. I think he has the potential to be a good NFL player and perhaps a starter. At least the team is working with a guy this time that can actually play the position as compared to Lance. There seems to be a lot to be cautiously optimistic about Joe Milton.

With his arrival, the strength of the QB position will only continue to grow stronger.

We don’t have a choice.

But he isn’t Rush or Lance.

It’s best to research the player.

Start with his college career and draft bio.

He’s very athletic. But his passing game needs tons of work.

Not a lot of starts in NCAA, despite 6 seasons of eligibility.

I’d like to see Jerry try to bring in another Vet QB before camp is over.

There's no doubt that Joe Milton is a work in progress and he'll likely get it if he's used wisely. We were fortunate to get him when we did. He's come along at a time when Dak has been used as much and about as long as it's best to use him to advantage.

I really do hope Joe Milton has great success once he's prepared to "take the reins." Let's hope that he's brought along wisely. In the meantime, it will be Dak at the helm, until it's not -- whatever that might happen to hold in store. I wish him well, also.

Most importantly, they are using him correctly. Getting him out of the pocket where separation creates easier passes.
They have found a diamond in the ruff, and all they have to do is put him in a good system, you'll have 2016 Dak, but with a stronger arm, faster legs.
It's early, but somebody has been working with him that much is clear,
His flaws are correctable.
Somebody in the organization spotted this guy, I'd like to know who.
