I like Kellen Moore a lot as an OC

Defenses are starting to catch up to Moore’s offensive schemes.

Also, he needs to take full advantage of the QB sneak, keep the clock running at the end of the game in situations like NO’s. and don’t have Zek in the slot, running the slant, when Pollard is sitting on the sidelines. This was done vs NO’s with Lattimore covering Zek!

It’s time for Moore to prove he really is a top OC and make needed adjustments to his schemes. The NFL is a copy cat league. Steal schemes from the best running teams. Kyle Shanahan is excellent at designing successful running plays. Steal running schemes from the Niners. Steal passing schemes from TB. Use more quick crossing patterns with subtle picks. Use the read option once in a while.

On 4th and a foot the QB sneak is almost always the best option, especially when you have a big strong QB like Dak. Tom Brady, the GOAT, runs the sneak as much as any QB in football and he is almost always successful(90% or higher).

I like that Moore try’s to take what the defenses is giving the Offense. For example, he doesn’t try to run the ball into brick wall consistently.( sometimes you do have to run into a stacked box, QB sneak for example, but you don’t want to do it consistently ) See TB game. Moore had Dak throwing the ball over TB’s tough defensive front, instead of trying to run through it.

I don’t think defenses have caught up I just think our playcalling has regressed. Especially in the run game.

I was never a Moore fan. Not at QB, not at QB coach. Not as OC.
However, I was coming around on him a bit mid year. But now I am back on not 100% in on him. Heck I may not even be 60% to 70% at this point.

If he stays, he stays, if he leaves, he leaves. That is about where I am at this point.

Now I know a lot is not on him, but that is not my issue at this point. He tries to be too cute at the wrong times. I hate when they just need a 1st down, but he takes a shot down field. I understand it at times, try to catch the defense off guard. But it happens too often. He can't stop trying runs up the middle, especially when it is not working. And that goes back to when he started as OC, not just this year.

As mentioned above, he goes away from what has worked in previous games. Though all defenses are different, but basic plays can still work. Slant, crossing routes, roll outs.

I also know injuries have a lot to do with it also. But still some basics just have not seemed right.

If all Three top Wr's are out where do you think the D's attention will turn to of course the run game

Moore needs to watch film on the Niners run game. Our guys still need to block though!

I think the O line is our biggest problem on Offense by far, but our receivers are not getting the same separation. Kellon was scheming receivers open consistently earlier this year. Not as much now!

This team has major issues on the O line right now. The O line is our weak link by far! They must improve for us to make a run! I think they can, but will they.

I thinks it’s a few issues. Dak has been off early in games. Kellon needs to adjust his schemes, especially his run blocking schemes, and the O line needs to start blocking better. Also, receivers have dropped some easy 3rd down passes lately.

I’ll call out the O line as the main culprit in the offenses struggles, then Moore not adjusting his schemes.

At times looking to much like Garrett coaching. Lucky vs NO’s Dak made some perfect passes and the receivers made the plays.
