There wasn't a whole lot to like about the game last night. The number of posts pissing on various things is representative of that. What stood out to me the most and what I was pleased to see was our RB corps.

I was a lil concerned because we had a bunch of questions at the spot. But they all did relatively well with their opportunities.

That's all. Just wanted to share since everybody else is posting something. :)

The RBs played pretty well.

Some hesitation here and there, but overall...pretty good. It's hard to tell against a team that has depth at only one position though.

I agree. We have a nicely rounded group that is tough and skilled.

RBs were definitely one of the bright spots last night. It will be interesting to see how Felix and Tashard do when they get their touches with the 1st string O-line on the field. That may not happen for Tashard until the real games though. You have to be pleased with what we saw out of them.

The way our Oline was blowing SD off the ball was pretty exciting given the quality and depth we have at RB. Should be fun to watch.

Felix Jones did this stuff in camp against the first team Cowboys defense, and he did it in the SEC on a consistent basis.

The Chargers are one of the deepest teams in the league. They have quality backups up and down their roster. Their GM is a good talent guy. Plus, Gurode was throwing J. Williams around like a rag doll last night. Williams wasn't going to slow Felix down.

I am confused by what skins and terps is saying. Jones was out there against the chargers starters.

I wanted three things to happen last night.

1. No injuries.
2. The first team to look good.
3. One of the young receivers to step up.

So, in that regard, I was extremely happy with the game. Felix and Tashard are just icing on the cake.

Felix and Choice show off

Cowboys rookie running back Felix Jones put on a pretty good showing in his first NFL game. He had six carries for 32 yards and fellow rookie running back Tashard Choice led the team with 7 carries for 40 yards. He added a 19-yard TD run.

Both Jones surely has the Cowboys fan excited with his own 19-yard run on a nifty cutback and a 28-yard reception, the longest of the game.

"It was real fun to go out there and show the fans Jerry Jones made the right pick," Jones said. "It was exciting."
