I like what I see in this offense without T.O.

I like the fact that our main objective is not " getting him involved early" anymore.

Forcing the ball to an egomanic is not good.

This offense looks like a team now.

Romo looks comfortable as well.

I may have to revise my 7-9 prediction. :laugh2:

One thing i've noticed is when we playaction to Felix Jones is that Linebackers bite on it almost every time.

This is going to make our 2 TE set even more devestating.

On top of all this it is looking like our WR group probably won't be any concern at all (exactly what I expected).

We are going to be so tough to stop offensively this season.

It's still a bit too early for me to give my true opinion but I will say... Romo looks comfortable spreading the ball around which makes this offense scary good.

I completely agree, lcharles. I was initially concerned that Owens might have "made" Romo. That's no longer a fear of mine.

I'm now absolutely convinced that, as you said, the whole "get Owens involved early" mindset weighed down Romo and this offense.

I have to admit, it's strange to watch offensive drive after offensive drive and not have to fret about the cut scene that shows a frothing Owens.

all true and something obvious (even to red genius).

unfortunately they have not corrected totally undisciplined, stupid penalties which stems from the lack of real head coach & accountability.

the game was deja vu of the giants playoff loss where we controlled the ball (when both 1st teams were playing) and shot our self in the foot over and over.

there is no reason to have to rely on 30 second TD scores before half to regain control of a game you dominated

I think the entire Offense played relaxed whereas last year they seemed frantic at times.

There are more reasons for this than just the absence of Owens though. For one thing I think the young WRs are more confident than ever. Sam Hurd looks to me like he wants to remind people he is here. I like that. Austin is running his routes so smoothe. I can't wait to see us work the ball to him and how he does. Crayton has never lacked for confidence. I think he is more focused. Romo and Roy are on the same page now. That's a huge thing.

I also think the maturation of Bennett is a big time plus. He reminds me a bit of Billy Joe DuPree the way he hates to go down after the catch. He may have better hands than Billy Joe though.

The great x factor to me is Felix Jones. I think we really planned to use him last year and then lost him. I think the wheels came off as much with his injury as Romo's.

This offense is going to be unreal. I think it'll be 2007 Patriots offense good or very close.

Draft Tony Romo in your fantasy leagues.

Anyone notice how Bennett is showing zero emotion after every single catch?

I think its kind of cool but im just waiting for him to do something crazy at the same time.

Dude, he is 100% straight business on the field. But on the sidelines he's dancing like crazy and acting a fool. I love the contrast. He wants to be a great player. John Garrett deserves some praise with his work here.

I can't wait to see how many of the "TO-Lovers" will come around to seeing just how good this offense, and the team in general, is without him.

We have so many weapons out there and Romo used them all. I like what I saw from our young WRs. Even though Hurd dropped an easy pass, he made up for it later with a very tough catch. Ogletree looks like he will make the team in place of Stanback unless Stanback has a couple of impressive games the next two weeks.

Our running game was very good and was able to consistently grind out yardage. I look forward to when we really start to mix it up and can gameplan more, we should see some big runs by the RBs. As it was we ate up the clock and held the ball for twice as long as the Titans for the game! We scored 4 TDs on drives of: 90, 79, 86, & 72 yards. Now that's how you win football games!

The defense did a great job of shutting down their first team offense except for their one TD drive in the first half. Still, holding a team like the Titans to 191 total yards was outstanding!

Our Special Teams still appears to be a work in progress but it does seem to have improved some over last year and it's early yet.

TO will not be a Pro Bowler this year and Roy Williams and Tony Romo will.

One word- balance. I think Romo has a great year but his numbers wont be close to 2007. The running game is too good. I'll say 27 TD passes.

Don't bring up that game because then I'll have to bring up how Patrick Crayton choked and I got all the old ladies worked up last night because I commented on him. I still have bruises from where they hit me with their purses and umbrellas.

Romo will surpass his 2007 numbers. This I'm relatively certain of. He was on pace in 2008 to surpass his 2007 numbers before the injury. And this offense will be much more potent than the 2008 offense.

Those 30 yards of run after catch from screens to Felix will be stat padders for him. :)

Im not sure there is many here who think TO was the reason for Romo success.

I think most of the TO supporters ....like myself just think he got blamed for alot of stuff that wasnt his fault.

This team had alot go wrong last year.....and the injuries didnt help.

The offense has to execute better......better play calling......etc.

It wasnt TO's fault that Felix got hurt.....and wasnt used much when he played
It wasnt TO's fault for Romo decisions to where to throw the ball.
and it wasnt TO's fault that Garrett had a certain gameplan.

Yes TO whined.....Yes TO complained......and Yes TO was a distraction.....but when the game starts.......coaches call plays and players try to execute their assignments......TO only fault there was his assignments...not Garretts gameplan and not Romo decisions on where to throw the ball......

Yes.....I love seeing Romo spread the ball around.....but he could of done that last year too and probably did.....and when he didnt.....that was his decision..... :)

Last night was what I was hoping to see sans TO; a half-dozen legit offensive threats on the field at any time and the defense not being able to key on any single one of them.

How do you game-plan for this offense?

Loved the time of possession. They will wear out some defenses this year by the 3rd quarter. Then MBIII, Felix, and Choice can finish them off.

Everyone seems more relaxed, our playcalling seems much more flexible, and that Felix Jones kid being an absolute stud are going to make us all forget about 81.
