I liked the draft!

Overall it was a solid A draft. We definitely improved our team on both sides of the ball this weekend.

The only pick I questioned was the developmental QB in the 7th, but hey, it's a 7th round pick.

I really would have liked to have seen us address the safety position but again it shows we just don't truly value that position even with the coaching change.

There were no safeties that fell to us.

I enjoyed this better than all of the pomp and circumstance, now if they can just get rid of all of the draftee/ family reactions and just give me the pick, the analysis and the highlights I'll be just fine. Yes I'm a bit of an odd ducko_O but after it's all said and done the main thing is that the Cowboys nail it:flagwave:

If you think about it, we all acknowledge that you can’t pay every position. Why invest a top round pick on a S if you’re going to let him go after 4 years? Unless there’s a generational S there, I don’t think we’ll ever take one. You can find solid S in rounds 3-5, if you’re paying anyone in your secondary it’s your CB1.

I've been watching the draft since the 70s. I liked the way it was held. Prefer it over the hype and big fake hugs with goodell. What do you guys think?

First time I’ve ever watched from start to finish. First time my wife has ever watched with me also. I liked the family aspect and the insight to the coaches, front office guys, and owners homes. Roger wasn’t horrible like I thought he would be. I liked the stories on the kid’s family’s. It was nice to see the families celebrating with the coaches and players. I also believe we will remember more about the draftees from other teams not just the Cowboys. IMO, this was the most enjoyable draft ever to watch.

The draft didn't fall this year for safety. I'm almost certain McCarthy would have took a safety over Hill last year. This year they took value and didn't reach on needs.
