Kelvin Colb, sorry, I mean Nick Foles is the new great QB for the iggles, just like Bobby Hoyer, Ty Detmer, Kelvin Colb..

Dumb comment. Kevin Kolb could never take a hit and was smaller than Foles. Foles has a better arm. No one ever said Detmer was great. I'll give you Hoying, but Foles has played enough games now where his completion percentage remains amazingly high and he doesn't turn the ball over. Foles took horrendous hits last year and would have possibly beat Dallas the 2nd game if Bryce Brown didn't fumble, and Foles was playing with no one.

I will be very surprised if we beat the Eagles. I think our team has the same attitude as the fans around here: Their QB is garbage, we can play this one as a bye, etc. Go back and look it up. This team (Cowboys) has lost the mid-October game almost 100% in the last 20 years...

Foles is so freakin awesome! He must be since he is 2-0 against Tampa and 0-whatever against everyone else.
Keep hearing about his great and accurate arm. The guy hasnt proven anything except yet.

IMO if the Cowboys cant beat the Eagles there isnt a whole lot of hope for the postseason. Philly is a bottom 10 team.

There is no hope for this Cowboys team in the postseason even if and when they do beat the eagles.

I don't know either way what is going to happen in this game. It's a game you can't call until it is done.

You forgot AJ Feeley.

But yeah Foles doesn't scare me. Didn't like him coming out of college and still don't. When given time he can certainly make some nice throws, but get some pressure and force him to move his feet and he's pretty terrible. Kiffin should be dialing up some blitzes for sure, especially since their #2 and 3 WR's are as slow as dirt.

What do the past 20 years have to do with what will happen on Sunday? Other than being an interesting conversation stat, it has no bearing on a game that has yet to take place.

This game is a toss up only because Philly's strength (o-line) matches up well against Dallas' weakness (d-line). The game will be won by the team that creates turnovers, avoids turnovers, and wins the STs battle.

I love it when Cowboy fans think the Cowboys should be able to beat a team that has the next Kolb

I guess there is no hope for the Broncos either, since they were only able beat a team with no hope by a field goal.

I don't think the majority of our fans have that attitude and I know that the team does not.

Foles did turn it over against us last season when he filled in. If our safeties can stay on top and Churc can fight the urge to blitz we shouldn't get beat deep. We need to emphasize the tackling this week since they will throw some isolated screens at us.

Foles is a nice player - I recall we liked him in the draft. Many folks on this board were upset that the Eagles grabbed him

I never said Foles is the next Aaron Rodgers. We don't know what he is yet. But you should go back and look at the tape of our game in Dallas last year and tell me how he played.

Disagree. Foles has very good functional mobility in the pocket. He has an 107 QB rating vs. the blitz. Sure, he is not fast, but he does have long strides.

You are thinking of the first game when Foles came in off the bench cold. In the second game, he put up over 27 points and didn't turn the ball over. In fact, Foles has 2 INT's in like his last 225 pass attempts or so, a record low number for a young QB basically in his rookie year.

How do you know the team has the same attitude as the fans? And actually, the mid-October game was last week. Nice try though Rowdy.
