I got here Saturday night (local time) and I'm here until Monday. I was in Tokyo until Wednesday when I took the bullet train to Osaka (where I am now). I love Japan!

Seriously, it might be one of my new favourite countries. It's clean. The people are very nice. The deer in Nara are nice. The food is insanely good. The scenery is incredible. I had been wanting to come to Japan for many years, and it's better than I expected. Way better!!

Don't take pictures of the Geishas. It considered very rude...I hear.

They have a wonderful culture there, although I think they are struggling to keep it with the younger generations becoming more westernized.

I love their tradition of honor and respect for the elderly (parents). Some of it is fading away, but their history is really remarkable and we in the west don't learn enough about it.

Honestly, there are things like that that we in the West should learn from the Japanese. Same goes for proper food preparation and cooking. My goodness, the Japanese can cook a good meal.

The respect for elders is amazing. Wish we had that.

There's almost 0 petty crime. You can leave your phone or valuables on a park bench and come back and no one will touch it. No one litters and there's no trash cans. You can be in a super crowded area and somehow barely touch anyone else.

Exactly, it's incredible. Frankly, the petty crime (if it does happen) is usually foreigners. And it's incredibly clean in Japan too. And boy do they cook good food in Japan!!! They know how to make good food!!! And the people are seriously nice. I was having some trouble with a rail card today, and someone was happy to try to help (and was successful at helping solve the issue). Sadly, I fly back Monday (Tokyo time), but I NEED to make another trip here in a few years or so. Japan is awesome.

Who they allow into their country is interesting.

I'd like to DM you when you get bac and pick your brain. Im planning on doing a 3 week vacation there when I can get off from work for that long.

Attempt to traverse the country by rail and plane including the Hokkaido prefecture when the snow is down
