He is very well spoken, very articulate, .. every word very well thought out.

His PC's are very informative, easy to listen to. He shares what he is thinking.

He is a smart kid, I like him a lot.

I am pretty sure he is a good coach. I would like to see him show a little fire now and then, but maybe that situation that evokes his fire hasn't happened yet.

Now, I hope he can lead young men.

If he is a leader, and these guys rally behind him, .. we will really have something.

Time will tell.

That's it right there.

The early returns are very promising.

I hope he wins the job permanently, but he has to earn it. He got off to a great start.

I'm not that high on some of the other possible candidates, because I don't think the older coaches who sit out for awhile and then come back have the necessary energy and urgency that a young guy just starting out has. That's critical in this NFL. I saw Parcells get tired and worn out. I saw the same thing with Wade.

In other words, I want the Jimmy Johnson of 1989 ... not the 1997 version that was in Miami. I want a young Cowher, or a young Gruden, or a young Holmgren, or a young John Fox ... not the present versions. Gruden might be the exception there, but you know what I mean.

The Cowboys may have their young version of those guys right here. He has some built-in credibility with Jerry because of their long history and that's a big plus when it comes to Jerry taking a step back.

So far, this is all very positive and I'm very hopeful it will continue.

I also like his PCs. That being said, no matter how old you are, you shouldn't refer to a 44 year old man as a kid. :laugh2:

That's funny. I am 48 and I think of Jason Garrett as a kid also.

I also hope JG does works out. It would be nice to have a coach that can stay here for 10-15 years or maybe more.

What about if Garrett uses Touch Of Gray like the commercial?

Perhaps one of the DMN super reporters will comment on his coaching demeanor during practices. I have a feeling that he is more expressive with his players during practice than during game time. He carries himself almost regally (for lack of a better word). He's more Landry-like than any other Dallas head coach has been.
