If you have watched All 22 and played football at all, you would see that Martin is hurt and hasn't played that well this season. His vote is reputation this season IMO. Just like Tyron Smith and Fred Beard.

I have both played football and watched All 22.

He's not the unanimous #1 clear cut guard in the NFL but he's easily still a top 5 guard in the NFL.

The ONLY right guard in the entire NFL that has clearly played better than him is Brandon Brooks.

LOL at 1 player in the entire NFL outplaying you at your position and somehow your some bum that doesn't meet the pro bowl niche of arguably being a top 5 player at your position in your own conference.........

Leno, Bakhirati, and Whitworth are all rated lower and have more penalties than him. Trent Williams and Joe Staley aren't even playing. Nate Solder is arguably the most overpaid player in the entire NFL. There isn't 3 left tackles in the NFC that are clearly better than Tyron (this whole narrative of his name buying him a spot is a joke)

That's the problem with someone like Martin and Tyron Smith.

There biggest critic are themselves. If there not CLEARLY the number 1 player at there positions then fans over-react and say things like "living on reputation", "careers crashing down", "no longer a high level player" when in reality both of them playing at even 80% will outplay 90%+ of NFL starters

There's not 3 guards or 3 left tackles in the NFC that are clearly better than either.

It's hard for right tackles to sneak in. Lane Johnson has just barely snuck in the last 2 seasons but even then he literally just got carted off the field 2 weeks ago and hasn't played since (if he's not healthy enough for this Sunday then the eagles most likely will sideline him for the remainder of the year)

He was not as bad in the past as many claimed but he has not been as good this season as many are now claiming.
