Some people hate PS games and we hear a lot of complaining every year; however, I love the PS games.
It's the only time we the fans get to see the bottom of the 53 guys and the Practice Squad guys untill the following preaseason.
I love following the guys that are about #40 to #60 on a roster that will only be 53. The #40 guy and #60 guy could flip position spots at any time based on their performance.
We also get to see the draft picks and other new players. How does Vander Esch really look against NFL players
We get to see the development of players that have been on the team but need to push for a starting spot or spot in the rotation. How does Jaylon look? Randy Gregory? Xavier Woods as a likely starting Safety.
We get to see Byron Jones playing what appears to be the best place for him in all of football which is CB in the unique Kris Richard press-man/zone cover 3 defense with unique CB technique. Jones is physically the prototype for this position. Physically more of a prototype than Richard Sherman because Jones has more speed but still has excellent length and the strength to battle. In the past he played against TEs with a style that had many similarities to Richard Sherman's style against WRs. Obviously Sherman had the prototype mentality for the position and we'll see how Jones looks on that front. The Kick-Step as KR calls it is hard to master. It's counter-intuitive to what most CBs have been taught.
I think 4 PS games is the perfect number.
PS games are even fun to attend. People often give the tickets away and the crowd is much more relaxed. Think of it as the stadium tour with a game in the background.

It isn't pretty, but it's like having a beer on the first day at the beach.
