I love the draft but does it really matter?

Coaching is more important than players in the NFL. Cowboys have wasted so many talented rosters over the years with subpar coaching. The last time we had an elite coaching performance was with Parcells as the head coach and Sean Payton as the OC. They went 10 - 6 and too Quincy Carter to the playoffs. Look at what Kyle Shanahan did this year with a depleted Niners roster. Michelin Star chef can make a pretty good meal with average ingredients but a McDonald's fry cook won't be able to make a good meal even with world class ingredients.

Like DLaw said, we know we're not winning a Super Bowl here.

This forum is basically a book club for fans to discuss the team we're watching. Why someone would still remain a Dallas Cowboys fan after 30 years of ineptitude is a fair question, but if we're here, we might as well discuss the draft.

Does it? Not really we know that they are going to counteract any gains from the draft with the usual stupidity. Right know with some new coaching there is optimism, even I have bought into it. This is the same thing for the last 30 years, it isn't going to change anytime soon. 10-15 years from now? possible.

Jerry likes the ol’ JW too much to make it to 98 years old…

The Cowboys are basically drafting new members to the country club.
