Rush is not a gunslinger. What is doing is running the offense the really well......... better than Dak.

The offensive game plan is different with Cooper Rush than it is with Dak. We’ve scaled back with Rush. We only had 71 yards rushing in the opener with Dak compared to 176 on Monday night. Cooper Rush hasn’t faced a defense like the Bucs. Our defense hardly laud a hand on Tom Brady in the opener. Plus the Bucs had 152 yards rushing. Our defense has played much better since that game.

Sounds like a bunch of excuses. The same excuses people have been making for Dak since 2017. So, facing a tough defense is some kind of logical reason for looking like a 3rd string QB rather than the highly compensated first tier QB he's paid to be?

Sorry dude. Call the offense what you want. Cooper is 2-0 and he played great against the NYG on the road, and beat the defending AFC champs the week prior.

Try selling your bs to someone else.

I don't think that is what a gunslinger is. He has like two reads, in max protect and is the opposite of gunslinger.

He plays like he has nothing to lose (and technically, he doesn’t. Only to gain the starting job). So he slings it any which way he can, which pays off more often than not. Almost like an Aaron Rodgers lite. I may be going too far here, but I see his gun slinging qualities as similar to Rodgers. He may not have as much accuracy as him, but he’s got some qualities of him.

makes sense McCarthy also coaches better with Rush as he’s more similar to his old QB being Rodgers.
I think saying "slings it any which way he can"...is ,,,well frankly lying. But okay...go with it.

Like he isn't connecting with receivers. Just throwing it all over the place...like Dak.

I’d say more like Flynn who started in place of Rodgers. Us Cowboy fans any body comes in and we want to compare them to future HOF’s or team greats right away. Going with Aaron Rodgers lite geeez.

YEP! Correctomendo.

He is NOT a Farve. He plays it safe...and TRIES to throw to the safest place.

Opposite of gunslinger.

The facts are the Buccaneers have a top five defense this season. Our receivers couldn’t separate against them and we struggled to run the football. The only thing our defense did good in that game was keep Brady and company out of the end zone most of the game but they moved the ball up and down the field on us. They put up 152 yards on the ground. Our offense ranks 23rd and we’ve scored only half the points we did last season at this time. It’s obvious you either don’t watch football or don’t have a clue about the game.

Umm dude chill sheesh. You can have TRAITS of the greats....without actually saying that is what they are.

If you slow down a bit and think...YOU are the one going to extremes.

Bucs were 13th on D last season. Don't see that they've upgraded. They were, however, 3rd against the run.

Question for people, when Dak returns and another team comes calling for Rush, what do you think Dallas could get in trade for Rush? Again I am not advocating trading Rush just wondering what Dallas could get for him?
Someone wants to overpay, as in a 2nd, I'd make that trade w/o no 2nd thought.

He’s now 3-0 as a starter, it’s hard to argue against a winner. If Dak comes back and plays like he did week one this is going to get interesting. After all it was Dak himself that took advantage of Romos injury to win the starting spot.

Rush and this team reminds me of the Trent Dilfer and the Ravens that won a super bowl. Our D can keep us in games and Cooper can make enough throws to win without making dumb mistakes and turnovers.
I wish our D was close to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rush is not a gunslinger. Not at all, zero gunslinger.

What you're seeing is Rush throwing timing routes, throwing to where the WR will be.

Which is something Dak never did well.
