I concur wholeheartedly. (In a manly kinda way, which is not to imply any kind of weird desire that would lead one to think that I am light in the loafers or anything. Not that there's anything...Well actually. :D )

The stadium has nothing to do with the fans and adds marginal value to my experience. Texas Stadium could have lasted a lot longer, and all you would have to do is put in bigger screens and paint the roof.

not to rain on the parade but winning now is very over rated. I would prefer a long extended run in which we have a shot to win 5 super bowls over the period of 10 years...maybe thats what we got with this team...not sure

Get us a WR opposite TO and I think we can use the Draft for the next 5 years to keep us a legit contender to win it all.

...is we have to have the draft picks and opportunity to pry someone away from another team.

Finding the next star #1 receiver is a crap shoot as much as the next star QB.

The best bet for this team is from established vets in the league.

Unfortunately the first step may be the release of Terry Glenn. It may be the impetus to get the discussions going.

...yep, and yet another reason why I'd prefer to spend money on retaining our own players (Hamlin/Canty) like we just did with TO as opposed to tying up money with a guy like Jason Taylor who has maybe 2 years left to play (not to mention the fact that it isn't really a position of need).

Yes, Jerry Jones is the man.

From what I have heard, he is also one of the nicest fellas you would ever want to meet.

The strategy is and always should be.....sign and re-sign your core players while creating a performance based culture. Those who perform get paid. The rest, you build through the draft (BPA) and then pick the odd Free agent to fill a specific hole (ala Davis).

We have been hitting them outta the park lately.
I love what we are doing.

I'm VERY pleased with the offseasons we've had the last two with Jerry. He's done a fantastic job of getting this team into contending shape and with a WR on other side of TO that can really go he could have us in position to use the draft to keep us legit contenders for several years.

It's not the keeping the team intact that is making me happy with Jerry, it's the drafting thats makin me happy. Complain all you want about taking a TE in the 2 or whatever. But we are getting good quailty guys at almost all our picks. Which is a far cry from the post 96 season, when we couldn't buy a good draft pick.
