4 weeks back I was drunk in the Rant Zone bemoaning Jason Garrett beating the Eagles and saving his job!

I don’t care anymore! He can stay 10 more years if he gets us on runs! I don’t like him as a coach but I love the team more than one guy and you are crazy not to cheer for what is happening...these things

1) Young talent on D that can close teams and you have faith in

2) An offense that isn’t great but that scratches out yards when needed. Cooper just drawing that PI wins us that game

3) Attitude that we can win tight games and any game.

I’ll take a crazy, hair pulling offense and an elite D anyday. Still a long stretch to go but I think we have the make up to overcome mistakes and win big.

Addendum: Seeing JG talk about “all 3 phases” drives me nuts but I love the team

I love defensive games. I used to love the old ravens vs steeler games when it ended 6 to 3 or 6 to 9. The saints defense came to play, but so did ours.

I was stalking around my apartment muttering like a lunatic, absolutely certain that 13 points was NOT going to get it done. Several times I thought we lost the game.

Some of our old squads definitely would have been slowly choked out while the other team drove down the field at the end of the game.

This defense is something to behold when they are on. It may sound trite, but if they keep improving into January, this team will be one nobody wants to play in post season. Seriously.

After a decade plus of strong offense and mediocre to horrific defense, having a top notch defense is a breath of fresh air. I'm loving the feeling of knowing that we can get stops. If we upgrade safety next year, this is suddenly a truly elite group.

You and me both. Ravens/Steelers in the mid to late 2000s were my favorite games to watch. I miss defense - last night was beautiful.

That’s what I loved! In fact I was pretty confident in a win even after the Dak fumble because I just couldn’t see the Saints going 90 yds or even in FG range. That’s a good feeling vs waiting for the pain to hit!

1. Love the defense and how they played last night
2. I've been critical of Dak and still think he's not the answer but I absolutely loved his determination last night. Loved the fight in him
3. I underestimated our secondary
4. Zeke is absolutely a beast.
5. Randy Gregory is disruptive for both teams . If he can play with control he can be a force.
6. I absolutely loved how we shocked everyone.

We suffer plenty with losses, if one can't enjoy winning they seriously need a new hobby.
JG is bleh to me but this org did the right thing and built through the draft and is positioned to be good for a really long time.

I love everything you said. I do think Dak is in a transition mentally of trying to become a stand and deliver pocket passer. He needs to to work his kinks out. That's just the way it works with QBs especially ones picked in the 4th round. Gregory has the gift, he just needs to use better judgement. I dont think he was offsides last night. He just timed it perfectly. If he was in the neutral zone, they should have said that because that's a different infraction. If he was in the neutral zone it was barely. I reminded that a few time and he just timed it perfectly, even the flags was thrown late like when they were on top of brees, the flag appears on the top of the screen. That call was questionable
