Felt like finishing it

1. Newton
2. Dareus
3. Miller
4. Gabbert
5. Peterson(one way or another, maybe SF and Ari swap in this scenario)
6. AJ Green
7. Quinn
8. Fairley
9. Detroit - Prince
10. Julio Jones
11. Aldon
12. Locker/Pouncey/Bowers/Watt
13. Cowboys - Tyron

Maybe Tyron doesnt make it. Whatever

13 - Tyron Smith
2nd - Danny Watkins
3rd - Ras Dowling - CB/UVA - I thought about Johny Patrick, whos probably a little safer. This whole thing has some gambles except for Watkins
3rd - Bruce Carter - LB/UNC - 1st rounder w/o the injury. Bradie is 30 and will be a free agent. They take the super athlete to pair w/ the super student(Sean Lee)
4th - Edmund Gates - WR/Abilene Christiam - Height:5-11/Weight:192/ 40:4.37 - 1 TD every 6 catches. Elite speed and return ability
5th - Deunta Williams - SS/UNC - Another injured Tar Heel. To replace the former Tar heel Gerald Sensabuagh. They are capped out and Sensabaugh is not worth a commitment. Give that money to Huff
6th - Alex Henery - K - Hes a good kicker
7th - Brandon Fusco - Slippery Rock - PS player year 1 but a nice center prospect for the future
7th - A defensive linemen

I think thats 3 starters day 1 and Gates can be a Knox/Wallace contributor early. 7 starters eventually(Bruce Carter may need time to fully rehab and get into shape, but he is an investment into the future)

I gave a lot of thought to Bruce Carter in my mocks as well, I love his speed but I don't know that he'd work well with Sean Lee. In the 3-4, you need one of your ILB's to do the dirty work that keeps your 2nd ILB free to flow to the ball.

Maybe I'm off base on that, I don't know.

Overall a pretty solid mock, although you made the mistake of not including Kenrick Ellis. ;)

I like the pairing. Carter is a bit light but he is a phenomenal athlete that can run w/ RB's and TE's. And if there was some mental mistakes Sean Lee could be on the look-out. I think its a nice fit since he will go lower than his talent indicates and might not be ready right away and might not be needed right away

I was going to go w/ Ellis but I already had the pre-requisite Deunta Williams pick

This is a great mock..I love it

I see you are really feeling that Niners trade up...I don't see it..but just because I don't see doesn't mean it's not happening.

I think your closer with that trade down then you might think.

IMO, the Cowboys will trade down in the 13 to 17 range and take take the highest rated OT they have on the board.
