I met Bill Bates tonight...

So, Bill Bates was on hand for the debut of the San Antonio Talons, our new AFL team, at their scrimmage tonight. Not sure if he has any affiliation with the team or not, but regardless he was on hand and as a season ticket holder I got to meet him. Was a pretty cool moment for me. I got to tell him personally that I thought his "we want the ball, we want the ball" moment in SB 28 was one of my all time favorite cowboys moments. He was wearing one of his rings (you can see it in the pic) and it was one of the largest rings I've ever seen. Anyways, as you would expect he was very humble, and gracious, and as nice as can be. It was a real thrill. Also, I thought it was pimp how he signs his autographs. That's what winners can do. See below.......

Bill Bates is one of my top five all time favorite Cowboys. That makes me a little sad I went with Rangers season tickets instead of Talons.

Congrats. I met him years ago probably... 96??? Really nice guy though.

That guy was a real football player that any fan of football can appreciate.

Bill Bates is in my top 10 of all time Cowboys. Walt Garrison and him are two of my favorites.
