I miss having a coach with a pair

i remember watching his press conferences every single day. they were must see tv and his back and forth with the media was classic. night and day compared to the way the media used to disrespect wade.

i just wish we got parcells after he left the jets instead of campo so we could have had him a little longer to finish what he was building here.

I'm tired of hearing about Parcell's. Last time I checked, we didn't win **** when he was here!!! Move On!!

This team might be winning 3 games a year, if he hadn't have come along.

We moved on.
Wade - didnt win.
Garrett - havet won and likely will not

I miss having Parcells around. Atleast he has a football mind unlike Coach Gutless

Yes -- only those who rant and rave have a pair.

Garrett is killing the media softly with his "give 'em nothing" approach. He's like Mr. Miyagi.

Give the media nothing. He also gives this team nothing.

He's also killing me softly with his .500 record as head coach.

This was a Jerry problem. He hired yes men. He can't hire yes men coaches then expect them to be able to lead a football team. Especially if they keep saying yes to do things Jerry wants rather than telling him to get out of the kitchen.

Why hire a talented coach if you aren't going to let him do things his way? Jimmy, Parcells, and Garrett aren't yes men. All the rest were.

34-30, 0-2 in playoffs

The Cowboys went 15-33 in the three seasons before Parcells got here. He took that awful team and won 10 games immediately.

I haven't seen anything to suggest Garrett isn't a yes man.

Dont let the facts get in the way.

Landry didn't talk like that. A lot of great head coaches shared Garrett's demeanor.

I've always kept in mind what Parcells said when he was announced the head coach here. He's not in the business of giving out information in press conferences. The media wasn't using him, he was using the media.

So whenever I hear a coach speak in one of those things I wonder how much is real and is also being said to the team and how much is just misinformation for the media.

In other words, the head coach might be telling us he thought player X did well on Sunday while ripping that player a new one behind the scenes all week. We don't know. We're left to guess.

I don't judge coaches on press conferences or what they say publicly. I judge them strictly on the results on the field with the talent they've been given.

That being said, I'd rather watch the Tour de France on an endless loop for the rest of my life than sit through another Garrett presser.

They where a decent team.

Glover
Ellis
R.Williams
Newman(rookie)
W.Blade(10 good games)
Q.Carter(who won more than he lost)
Glenn
Galloway
Richie
Mario Edwards(who Dr.Z named to his all pro team)

Not good but a decent little squad!Parcells messed it up the next year when he brought in over the hill guys like Cason and Wiley.

Except for the fact that he told Jerry he wants to do this his way and so far that is exactly what has happen.

Where have you seen Garrett do anything that suggest he is a yes man? You haven't.

Garrett has shown that he is about business and he expects you to do it his way. Why do you think Dez got put in his place this offseason? He was told, shape up or ship out. That wasn't Jerry, that was Garrett.

The fact that Jerry's so comfortable with Garrett makes me think you might be right.

With Jimmy he grew miserable despite a dynasty.

With Parcells he had to walk on egg shells while he rebuilt the team.

His comfort level with Garrett seems far different to me. That is alarming.
