I must admit the coaching staff has pulled it together

As much as I think Wade is a clueless buffoon, I think the coaching staff has done a good job to this point. JG the boy wonder has done a great job with playcalling and the defense has seemed to come together pretty well. The Special Teams had done a tremendous about face since last season, because of Coach D. A bg test coming up this weekend, but all in all, I think the Coaching Staff needs to be commended.

Lets get to December and the playoffs before credit is issued to anyone. This team has a lot to prove.

Dallas has looked much better over the past few weeks, but they still have plenty to work on....

Where has the run game gone? We were ranked #1 to start the season, and now are middle of the pack...the passing game has been getting all the press lately, but we really need to have a good run game to win in Dec & Jan.

Defense has improved, but still giving up way too many yards. Ranked near the bottom of the league to start the season, they have moved up to #22 where they have been for a few weeks. Defense must continue to get better if we want to win in Dec & Jan.

The two best teams in the NFC right now are New Orleans and Minnesota. New Orleans is probably the best in the NFL at present.

I believe it is two fold. The commitment doesn't seem to be there anymore and I think the injuries have played a role. Jones still doesn't appear comfortable (although his truck of Ken Lucas was a thing of beauty) and I am mystified why we aren't utilizing Choice more.

It will come around, provided Garrett remembers it is there. Austin's big plays are hard to pass up though.

I agree with your comments, but I was disappointed in Barber's performance yesterday. I thought he would have a big day against Seattle...he must still be hurt because he didn't look any better than Julius Jones (and it hurts me to say that)...

Still up to the players to execute the plays and not make stupid mistakes (careless ball handling, penalties, etc)

I agree, but things seem to have fallen into place nicely. I do have to ask the same questions Disturbed asked, where has the running game gone. When the weather turns nasty on the road, they are going to need the running game and I think we have one of the best in the NFL. That is the only poroblemn I see right now, but time will tell ... starting this weekend.

coaching is our weakness. never has a staff done less with more on offense and defense.

ST improved because WE HAVE A REAL COACH leading that squad, unlike HC/OC. the team also seems inspired by his ongoing recovery from severe injury. imagine if we had a REAL HC and real OC! We can only dream!

Still you might want to put away the anointing oil until at least next week if we manage to defeat Philly (a team that embarrassed us for a decade now, the cherry-on-top being last seasons closer).

all the good play in the last 3 weeks (vs 2 marginal teams btw and one good team at home ) still does not erase JGs glaring mistakes and lack of feel for the 60 minute game which are plentiful in each and every game (win or loss).

Really? Seriously?

I'm sorry but I really think he is in over his head as a HC. He's a good DC, but some guys reach their peak at certain levels and I think his is the DC. He looks more like a fan on the sidelines than he does a HC. I don't know if you caught it on tv, but last week he tried to decline a play review after they had ruled the Atlanta runner was down before he fumbled and Jenkins picked it up and ran it in for a touchdown. I just don't have much faith in him. Maybe it's just me, but that's my opinion. Sorry!

It's not really anointing oil. I just thought I should give them some kudos for getting us to where we are RIGHT NOW. That could all change next week ... like I said, the next few weeks will be very telling.

If your execution is spotty(to say the least), then running the ball twice for 4 yards and converting on 3rd down and 6 is a statistical problem for teams wanting to drive the field and score (or at least win the field position battle). I think Garrett counters this deficiency by throwing more and therefore getting more chances at obtaining yardage and first downs.

I'm certainly not shy about voicing my opinions, and I've been on the GROW train as much as anyone else.

With that being said, you have to give credit where credit is due. First people wanted some sacks and turnovers (just an improvement defensively, in general). We got it. Then people wanted to see a more potent offense. We're getting it. Then people wanted to see an improvement in the penalties department (specifically pre-snap). We're getting it. Bag on Phillips all you want, but if you're going to give him all the blame when the team under-performs, then you need to man up and give him some credit when the team plays well.

You can't have it both ways.

BTW I have no problem with Wade "acting like a fan" when the team makes plays. There's a lot on board with the idea of Gruden replacing Wade at the end of the season. Gruden is the biggest "fanboy" that the NFL sideline has ever seen. I see absolutely nothing wrong with cheering on your players when they execute a play/gameplan.
