My goodness, I do not even know where to begin. I guess the easiest place for me to begin is to state that this defeat has been the toughest pill for me to swallow, and over the last few seasons we have had some tough losses. For some reason though, this one takes the cake and I have yet to fully move on. If I had to guess, I would say it is due to the fact that I was actually in attendance for this game.

I am not going to sit here and list players who I thought played well and others who I thought did not play well because at this point everyone knows who those players are. What I would like to discuss is our team as a whole. Let me start off with the defensive side of the ball. In case you guys have not realized it yet, our defense under wade phillips is typically a slow starting unit. I don't know if it is training camp or what but we have games early in the season (season opener 2007 vs NYG and home opener 2008 vs Philly) that are divisional games that turn out to be straight shootouts and that is what last night turned out to be. I have reason for optimism when it comes to our defense, both in 2007 and in 2008 the defense got better as the season went along and that is what we need, to peak late in the season.

As far as our offense goes, I am a little bit more peeved to say the least. There were definitely some bright spots on the offensive side of the ball but the absolute bottom line is we need a QB that is going to stop giving games away and I would prefer that QB to be Tony Romo. However, for the first time since he has taken over as our QB I am starting to wonder if the guy is capable of making the necessary changes. I heard his presser last night, I was happy with everything he said, but my goodness, I am sick of all the talk, it is time this team starts to prove it on the field. My optimism level with Romo is actually far less than it is with Wade fixing our defense because Wade has proven he can do it and Romo has not proven that he fan fix his issues. This team is going to get better, I guarantee you guys that much. This team is going to be good enough to make noise, THIS SEASON, as many of you already know, it is going to come down to whether or not Tony Romo can do his part, and for me that is where the uncertainty lies.

Let's now shift to the brand new stadium. As you guys already know, the thing is amazing, plenty of bells and whistles. I really didn't care too much about anything regarding the stadium outside of how loud the place was going to be. I have read mixed feelings from people who watched the game on TV, some say it was loud, some say it was the same ole same ole. From my point of view, sitting in section 414, the new cowboys stadium mops the floors with Texas stadium from a sheer loudness perspective. The place last night was absolutely rocking. Again, this is in comparison to Texas stadium. We still have people who cheer at the wrong times, we still have our whine and cheese guys, but the place is way louder than Texas stadium, and that is all I really wanted. Consider me pleased.

Lastly I would like to cover some disturbing news I came across. I am not certain if any of you are aware, but there were 30,000 plus party pass tickets sold. However, only 20,000 of those 30,000 were allowed to enter the stadium. There was a fire marshall that indicated the place was at full capacity and no one else could enter. So what am I getting at here? I am telling you, Jerry Jones purposely sold an additional 10,000-15,000 tickets to break the record for tickets sold, knowing darn well those individuals would not be allowed to enter the stadium. I found this very disturbing.
