I am glad Wade Phillips is coming back?
I think the team is moving in the right direction. I am impressed in what he did with the defense. If they can fix the offenesive line I think we can be in good shape going into 2010.

I would also like to see us get a physical safety. My personal choice would be Chad Jones out of LSU. However I doubt he will be on the board by the time we pick. How about open tryouts for the kicker position?:bang2:

I'm glad Wade's coming back too. Here's my priority list for the offseason:

1. O-Line.
2. Kicker.
3. Best Defensive Player Available.

So am I. Despite how it looked, this team is not that far from going deeper and making it to the Super Bowl. The Vikings exposed a weakness and it has to be addressed. Restarting with a different philosophy isn't necessary at this point and I'd rather watch the continuation of this team come August and September.

I can't say that I want to see Wade in Dallas for another year but I have no choice in the matter but to deal with him.Now if they give him a multi-year extension I may have to go on a long term binge with copious amounts of alcohol.

Phillips' lack of toughness eventually comes out in his team. It came out in spades on Sunday.

I think the team is much further from being great than most fans believe. I won't say further from the super bowl, because just a year ago we saw a very flawed AZ team make it to the SB, and we could very well see the same in a very flawed Jets team this year.

But as far as being a great, complete team, I think the Cowboys have a long way to go. And I don't think they'll ever get there with Phillips at the head.

At this point, I agree that Wade coming back is best for the team but the guy HAS to hold players more accountable for their performance and be willing to bench starters who are not performing i.e. Roy W., Marc Colombo, Marion Barber, etc.

Knowing that Barber was gimpy, he never should have played that game with Choice getting his carries. With Colombo's performance against the Eagles, Free should have started although Free would eventually have to replace Adams. And Williams should have been benched earlier in the year to give Ogletree more reps.

Wade just won't make the tough decisions if it's going to upset people. He just smooths everything over and acts like there's nothing wrong. He is loyal to a fault. If he can correct that then I think he can take this team to the Superbowl. Otherwise, I don't think he gets this team to the promised land.

Since the first win over Philly there was never any real doubt anyway that he was coming back. With an additional year of continuity and experience for Garrett & Romo, some improvement in personnel via the draft (this year's and last year's), a reliable kicker (does such a thing even exist?) and hopefully a little bit better play out of Roy Williams (he's not getting cut) they can certainly challenge Minnesota and New Orleans.

It wouldn't be a reach to pick up a better strong safety than Sensabaugh, hell maybe Ball takes over. They've drafted enough OL over the past few seasons that even if they don't focus heavily on it in the draft they can still make an upgrade there most likely. There's no reason at this point to try and turn the whole thing over, they should ride this team for one more season at least.

I think Wade coming back is the best thing for the stability of the team & franchise. A few things need to be tweaked but at least things are looking up.

I didn't expect to be glad, but I am. If someone had said this to me 4 or 5 weeks ago, I probably would have felt like: :banghead:

But after finishing December strongly and winning our first playoff game in over a decade, I believe he deserved to come back.

Not glad. Wade himself admitted he was the problem and would change, become tougher. He didn't, he won't, and we will just be a year older.
