oh btw hedo turkoglu is gonna be a free agent this year, his agent stated he will opt our of his contract this year and become a free agent. that would be a MUCH better addition than shaq for the cavs

Hedo and LeBron both play SF.. Hedo isn't really suited for any other position..

Are you guys serious about the "Well LeBron plays the same position as him" crap. He can play point guard, shooting guard, small foward or power foward. It really does not matter what his official position is. Hedo can play SF and Lebron playing SG. Won't make any difference. Delonte can then come off the bench and sub for Hedo with LeBron scooting down to SF.

I like LeBron James, just for the record. I like his game. I like the way he carries himself. I like it that he mans-up for his woman and kids.

I just don't WORSHIP him. I don't go all "Favre" over him. It's to the point that if you say ANYTHING in anything less than absolute glowing and worshiping terms, then your dissing on LeBron.

Another thing.............Here we go with the standard "he didn't have the players" and "I'd love to see what Kobe would do with that roster" stuff. Two things: We DID SEE what Kobe did with a bench like that, and I didn't hear any letting up of the Kobe criticism during those years. In fact, the "Kobe can't win w/o Shaq" stuff got so thick you could cut it with a knife. It was so bad that Kobe had to answer more than a couple questions about it during these playoffs and last night. He had to LITERALLY talk about Shaq on the very evening of his crowning glory.

The second thing is that, while the Cavs were blowing the regular season away, and going unbeaten the first two rounds of the playoffs, we didn't hear anything about "no supporting cast" from you or anyone else. All we heard, louder and louder and louder, was "WITNESS, WITNESS, WITNESS". That's why I'm bringing "witness' back up. LeBron was great enough only a month ago to carry his team on his shoulders. Now, his followers are singing a different tune and running cover for him.

If the Cavs DO INDEED land Shaq this off season, and the Cavs DO INDEED win the title with a LeBron/Shaq tandem................I wonder if LeBron will get the Kobe treatment. You know, "LeBron couldn't win without Shaq" stuff. Then, when Shaq leaves town and LeBron goes 5 years w/o a Ring, I'd like to see how they treat LeBron THEN!

So I'm not ragging on LeBron as much as I want to see Kobe get his proper due. In the year when it was 24/7 LeBron, and the only MVP question out there was LeBron or Kobe, I just think that at this stage of his career that it's pretty sweet for Kobe to have won it all.
good post

hedo is a shooting guard, rashard lewis was the small foward. when he was with the spurs he played shooting guard, while with sacramento he played shooting guard, thats his position

yeah. Courtney Lee played SG.

oh ya, your right! but he can play SG, he did it with san antonio and in sacramento (SFs were bowen and stojackovic) he can handle the ball pretty well, he even did spot PG duties in SA. they could go small with lebron at PF and him at SF. possibilities are endless, it would be a great pickup for the cavs

The Cavs can not get Hedo. They are WWWWAAAYYYY over the cap, and all they have is the MLE exception of around 5-6 million to use. Hedo will be getting 9-10 million from Orlando or Portland.

LeBron will take them to the playoffs all by himself. That's a given. They lost in the playoffs because they had no answer for Dwight. Shaq would toss him around like a ragdoll. They get every other day off in the playoffs. Shaq will be nicely rested each game. If they can somehow sign Artest it would get pretty digusting. They probably couldn't resign Varajeo and Z would have to either get traded or retire for that to happen though. Shaq costs 20 mil by himself.

No I will tell you what will happen when Shaq and Dwight match up.

Dwight will face him up like he did with Big Z, and utlize his quicker first step and get to the basket and get Shaq in foul trouble. Going after Shaq isnt going to help them stop Dwight.

Only chance to stop him is hope Varajo develops, and pray that Dwight doesnt improve his offensive game with the help from Patrick Ewing, one of the best centers ever.

Offensive wise, they can do that. The problems arise on the defensive end. Hedo is too slow to guard the 2.

patrick has been with him for a couple of years now and he still hasnt developed much of an offensive repertoir. He needs to look at film of duncan, hakeem and david robinson, learn post moves, use his feet and his body better. i still dont think dwight will ever be a force offensively, he will be like artest, great defender, decent offensively with the potential for a big game here and there(without being a nutcase that is)

hedo cant really guard anyone, lol. but if that is a concern they can put lebron on the 2 guard and have him guard the three.

Ewing has been with the Magic and Howard since the 07-08 season, so two full seasons.

I would say that Dwight has vastly improved his offensive game in those two years. Lets not forget he's only 23. He needs more of a repertoire, but he has some moves. That left hook is money, and its with his weak hand.

I respect your opinion about him never having an offensive game, but I think he will develop one within a year or two.

i hope he does, i really like him a lot, and wish him nothing but the best. But i read an article not too long ago about him by bill simmons and he made some great points about how all the great big men in the NBA had a natural talent of scoring in many different ways. most other great big men went to college too so that might have something to do with it too

I agree, I prefer the NCAA over the NBA any day.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!

There's always been, and forever will be, this "the college game is better than the Pro game" thing out there. Usually has something to do with "purity" and truer competition and "love of the game". Because somehow or another, the college game isn't tainted by money....................or some other gobbeldy****.

The college game, both Basketball and Football, as everyone knows, is the equivalent now of Single A, Double A, and Triple A professional baseball. So the "purity" and "love of the game" stuff is ancient history. This explains kids playing one college year (basketball) and then going Pro. Or a couple years of Football and bailing for the money. Hell, the NBA still takes H.S. kids for heavens sake. So please, remove from the rest of us this idea of "amateur" athletics somehow being more of the "real thing" than the pro's. It isn't.

Professional Basketball and Football are LIGHTYEARS better than the college games. It's not even close. You can field the NATIONAL CHAMPION NCAA Football and Basketball team, year in and year out, against the WORST Pro team (yeah, that includes the Lions), and the sorry pro team would SMOKE the National Champs. PERIOD.

The Pro game is geometrically better than the college game.
