I was really expecting the Cowboys offense to look lethargic on the first outing. But much to my surrprise, Romo looked unflappable last night.

They're going to miss Ferguson.

They might not miss T. Glenn as much as they might have thought.

In his first career start, Spencer takes out the opponents QB. That at least rates a B+ in my book.

Has Roy Williams just disappeared or what? I have trouble just seeing him on plays. He used to beat everyone to the ball.

35 points to Eli with no running game? That's a problem. Wait til they play someone who looks old enough.

How about Barber's TD 4th down run? I counted a stiff arm, juke, bounce off, a run over and a 5 yd dive. I can't get one of those out of Julius.

How entertaining is Wade Philips? He's all smiles at kick off, his hair is all messed up at one point, then he's perspiring his way through the third quarter and finally, all neat and composed by the end. Good stuff.

If last night's game wasn't a fluke, I feel that Terry Glenn is going to miss being in this offense a whole lot more than we fans will miss him. We're loaded with offensive weapons and Romo has started the season off with a bang.

IMO, Spencer is going to be Ellis' final nightmare, but it's going to be a dream come true for the Dallas faithful. I just love the guy's potential.

You have to add in that Marcus Spears actually got one sack somewhere in there, at first I thought it was the beer clogging my senses. Hey has anybody tried one of those minkegs from Heiniken, man that is the greatest invention in awhile. It fits right in the frig.............

I think with Spencer and Ware on the outside, we will have a good pair of rushers. Spencer should only grow more comfortable as the season progresses. When we get Ellis back in there, things should only improve, with both players fresh, plus Ellis will give a boost to the run defense.

Not only did Spencer take out Manning, he also took out Jacobs. Watch the replay, Jacobs knee hit Spencers back.

  • Barber looked solid. I love the way he breaks the first tackle and just trucks defenders.
  • Roy was invisible the entire game, other than stopping the 300 pound QB.
  • Spears didn't show up, along with most of the DL, except Ratliff getting some pressure here and there.
  • Ware and Spencer, only a matter of time before they start racking up sacks. Spencer had one and almost another except Eli did a little shuffle pass to avoid the sack.
  • The OL did a great job and Romo only makes things easier with his mobility.
  • Witten will be a force with jason calling the shots.
  • Hurd continues to show promise.
  • Crayton is NO threat at all returning punts, and he carries the ball like a loaf of bread ALL THE TIME, but he does find a way to get open at WR pretty consistently.

Not to egg on the 'I hate Roy Williams' campaign, but Lorenzen slid well before he challenged both the first down marker or Roy.

Oh yeah, Hamlin seems to attack with aggression and made some big hits. I'm anxious to see how he fits in, but I thought he did pretty decent for game 1. He also came close to stripping the ball once, but I believe the runner was down by contact.
