Jimmy’s boat ‘Three Rings’ was a reference to one title at University of Miami and two titles with the Dallas Cowboys. Just sayin’.
 
30 years later and people are still whining over this. When it was Jimmy as much as Jerry.

Are these the same fans what say 28 year 28 years. Over and over. And then tell fans don’t live in the past off of those 90’s SB’s.
 
It is way too early to tell what this year will bring we should get quite a few players back from injury we have a draft coming up.

And here's the big one that will tell the tale of the tape if Jerry participates big time in free agency and gives the new coaching staff something to work with it's reason to be hopeful that we may have some good football to watch.

That doesn't mean we're going deep into the playoffs or even winning a playoff game that just means we may have some good football during the regular season
 
The roster needs to be given an injection of talent for the new coaching staff to be successful

This all revolves around Jerry.

We need to sign Rico we need another impact running back in the draft we need an impact defensive tackle in the draft we need an offensive lineman and a linebacker that covers the first four rounds whatever we don't get there we need to sign in free agency.

If we do the due diligence and fill the positions enhancing the roster we give the rookie coaching staff a puncher's chance if we don't they are destined to fail

Only because the reason he was leaving never changed.

After building the team he wanted and after winning back-to-back Super Bowls and considering the team's potential to win at least three in a row, Jimmy was just going to walk away because he was bored and wanted to go fishing?

Not that guy. Not the fiery motivator with the "asthma field". Not the guy who led Charles Haley into a restroom, flushed a toilet, and told Haley that was his career if he didn't straighten up and put in the required effort.

Jimmy was on the verge of NFL history and, considering the competitive spirit he always demonstrated, there could be no other reason for him to leave other than recognition for his efforts being undermined internally.

That is what happened. That little weasel of an owner began crediting himself publicly for Jimmy's accomplishments. It was sickening. Jimmy would trade for a player and Jerry would meet him at the airport with full press and then describe how he was responsible.

Jimmy did all the football related work but Jerry quietly appointed himself the GM without any public announcement. He even had a fake phone placed in the Cowboys draft room and instructed camera operators to focus on him when the Cowboys were being featured.

It continued to get worse until Jimmy could take no more.

Bill Parcells did the same as Jimmy and, I suspect, so did McCarthy.

Jimmy the Builder, Jerry the Destroyer.

Yes before I pass judgment I have to see what gets done in the draft and free agency.

If Jerry was actually persecuting McCarthy and being vindictive because he lost that playoff game to Green Bay by giving him nothing to work with then that is over finally and we should go all out and free agency to fill this roster.

That said the young coaching staff is only going to be as good as the talent that is provided for them they can't be expected to operate with nothing.

It's a bit strange throttling back. Even after a loss I used to be ready by...wednesday?

Now I'm like...oh...Cowboys are on today {yawn}.

If that were true, and Jerry didn't just fire him...a travesty to the players, the fans... the sport. Like...relinquish control type stuff.

As long as this is the football program of the Arlington Jonesboys, you will never see the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl.

I will always be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I saw them, know them, and they gave me joy from 1966-1995 (actually 1994 when the Dumbo Owner fired a back to back Super Bowl winning HC to become the Dumbo GM). But, the Arlington Jonesboys are fake and not worth anything but disrespect.

True. As painful as it is, I was Cowboys born, Cowboys bred, and when I die, I'll be Cowboys dead. I am not delusional, and I realize this team may never make it back to a SB in my lifetime, and I'm in my mid 50s.

So we go 12-5 or better (BTW doubtful) but what does that matter if we get bounced again in the 1st playoff game?
