I had a feeling last week that Tony Romo would light up the Atlanta secondary and prove his doubters wrong about being able to win the big game. My feeling was correct. It was so dead on, it was almost scary.
For this game, I have a different feeling. The Seahawks are coming off a bye week and should be somewhat more prepared for our passing game than was Atlanta.
If my hunch is right, and it's only a hunch, then we'll focus on garnering big runs. I think today is the day we see the unleashing of Felix Jones. I also think we'll see him again as a wideout, perhaps used on a reverse or perhaps we'll see a reverse from someone else.
Maybe I'm wrong. But I think Garrett will focus on trying to run the clock to put pressure on the Seahawks' and force them into their passing game where they don't have much to protect Hassleback.
I'm not predicting a bad game for Romo, I just feel like the game plan will dictate that we run more successfully this game against Seattle.
We'll still have a good passing day, but Austin won't gain as many yards as last week and the Hawks will be looking to stop our pass first, since that is where we've had success.
But it won't matter. We have some of the best backs in the league and today it will become apparent to most NFL fans watching. Felix Jones will show, to those who don't know, what an explosive player he is. And Julius Jones will be wishing he was a Cowboy rushing behind one of the best OLs in the NFL.
Today I make a toast to big runs, jukes, stiff arms and missed tackles (by the opposing defense). Today I make a toast to victory.
