I predict the Boys will make a run, but how long?

I have been studying the stats and odds and I have come to a conclusion that the Boys are due for a run. The big question is how long will the run last. Two, three games, or more? I am basing my conclusions on:

a) Our total offense ranks 5th in the league and we can score points
b) Our total defense ranks T4th in the league
c) Our team ranks 3rd in the league for Time of Possession
d) The schedule favors the Cowboys and Commanders starting this weekend
e) Our youth will work to our advantage down the stretch
f) Romo has command of this offense and is growing into a leader
g) Our problem continues to be penalties that keep the other team in the game. Minimize the penalties, means more consecutive wins
h) We don't have to wear those cursed "blue uniforms" until the playoffs

Just some food for thought

Like it has already been discussed, the Cowboy were in every game they lost...every single one of them...! No team has blown them out and they have stayed fairly injury free...so far...

I see good things happening...so count me in!!

hate to be the voice of pessimism....but we will go 5-3 down the stretch...finish 9-7...miss the playoffs by 1 game...and look to yet another game we gave the Commanders as the reason our season fell short of expectations

But perhaps Parcells will come back for 1 last run, becasue after falling short 2 years in a row, the young players will finally have grown up and will have visual evidence of what happens when you give games away. He can hang all the mouse traps and yo-yo's in the lockeroom trying his best to warn and motivate guys..but after seeing 2 straight seasons go down the drain because we do not concentrate for 60 mins....I think these guys will have finally learned that you cannot give games away when you are at best a 10 win team

5-3 isn't the voice of pessimism, it's the voice of moderation, really.

I said it, 6-2, book it. It's happening.

We have hte QB.

The team is there.

As good as the teams we have to play are, ONLY Indy REALLY scares me. NY is good, but we can hang with them, though on the road will be tough.

I wouldn't be surprised if we beat Indy.

This team is incapable of blowing out good teams. They beat who they're supposed to and play every other game close. It's just the kind of team they are.

I think it's the Bledsoe rust shaking off, to be honest. Once the Romo era really sets in I think we'll be seeing more lopsided victories against better teams. But until then, this team is what it is - .500.

That is exactly how I feel, I think we can go 6-2, I also feel that we can beat Indy with our run-attack. BUT I am not worried about NYG since lately they were hit by so many injuries to key players and several palyers are out, some for the rest of the season. The ones I am worried about is Atlanta because it is away and the Saints. Say what you want but Peyton is doing a great job there, I don't know why we let him go.

6-2 and when we get to the playoffs we are going to have a great team chemistry that I believe is only growing with time since Romo has started.

I'm dead confident that Dallas will win State, they've got the Texans down for the count. State Champs, Dallas Cowboys.

Cowboys were 2 TDs down with about 3 minutes left on the clock vs. Jacksonville. At that point they werent really in the game.

Against Philly, they tied it up early in the 4th and a few minutes later Reggie Brown scored on a 40 yard play. Then Bledsoe tossed that infamous pick.

Against the Giants the were down by about 20 going into the 4th.

Now against the Commanders, they were certainly in the game and had the chance to win. People seem to forget that the Commanders blew 2 or 3 shots that may have put the game out of reach (obviously though things probably would have gone differently), compared to the one shot the Cowboys missed.

Well can you blame me for being cynical? The Cowboys have yet to show me any reason to be confident in their ability to win consistently.

I tend to agree with the 9-7 as worst cast scenario, however, I think, in the NFC, 9-7 gets you the wild card.

2-6-PHI6:)31) D.Bledsoe pass short right intended for J.Witten INTERCEPTED by L.Sheppard at PHI -2. L.Sheppard for 102 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

A TD here would have tied the game

1-10-NYG11(2:48) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short right intended for P.Crayton INTERCEPTED by K.Dockery at NYG 4. K.Dockery for 96 yards, TOUCHDOWN.

A TD here and we would have only been down 7

I have faith that the Cowboys will be competitive in every game they play. Beyond that, though, I think my faith has been sapped dry over the past 10 years.

I hope it can be restored this year, but somehow I doubt it.

During the 80's I was with my Boys all the way down to the 1-15 bottom. It was pure agony. But there I was every sunday, hoping for the best.

And we are on that upswing now. With the talent we have, it will be a joyous time in Cowboy land when we start hitting on all cylinders.

Of course I'll be there hoping for the best every Sunday. I haven't missed a game in years, and I don't plan on breaking that streak anytime soon.

But that doesn't mean we can't be realistic about our current situation. We may have a bright future ahead of us (key word = 'may'), but as for right now we seem to have trouble pulling out the must wins.
