We probably could have beaten Washington if Romo never came back into the game. Then he goes into Arizona the next week and we lose a close game to the league's best defense who is 9-1 and just beat the second best team in the NFC with their backup QB.

Orton probably wouldn't have beat Arizona.

Brandon Weedon is completely useless.

We should at least someone with some potential.

You Took the words out of my mouth, we've had nothing but bad luck with back ups ever since Tony became a starter, when are we going to spend a little more $$ and get us at least a decent to very good back QB, this is the only thing that scares me finishing out this season, Tony is as tuff as nails we all know, but what if he goes down, we have to assume that it's a rap for the season, Weeden was a disaster, and it should not be that way, we should still have a good chance and fair chance to compete with a back up, suddenly Manziel doesnt look so bad after seeing Weeden, Huh Jerry?

Romo might not have. Arizona is a good team. Hard to evaluate Weeden based on one game against a team that makes QBs and RBs look bad (only team to hold Murray under 100 yards). If he would have played against Jacksonville and stunk it up, then it would be fair to criticize him. He played well when he came in against Washington. I still wish we would have kept Orton though.

Where do people come up with this stuff? We've had two of the better backups in the league the past few years. Kitna turned a 1-7 Romo-led team to 6-10. Orton almost beat the Eagles to make the playoffs last year. Kitna and Orton were exactly what you want in backup QBs. Veterans who can win a few games if the starter goes down for a stretch. I don't know about Weeden. He probably sucks but I don't want to rate him based on his time in Cleveland and a game against the 9-1 best defense in the league.

If anyone other then Weeden played against the Cards we win that game. If there was a hint of just average QB play we win that game. Unfortunately we got rookie QB baseball castoff QB play. I had visions of Chad Hutchinson/Drew Henson during that game it was so bad

just gotta keep tony upright the rest of the way....I wonder this week against NY if they don't throw more to give Murray a little rest before philly on a short week...I would hate to see him get 25-30 carries and then still be REALLY sore on Thursday which could limit his effectiveness

I think you are missing a word in there. "We should at least" what? Draft? Sign a free agent ?

I vote for eugenics where we could make a test tube baby that would cross a Manning gene with a Roger Staubach gene. In 20 years, we would have a hell of a QB.............which is probably quicker than Jerry finding one.

Keep repeating a false premise. Romo was 1-4 and actually had a good lead when he came out of that Giants game. Kitna blew that lead and lost the next 2 games in blowouts. Romo was not 1-7. He actually would have been 2-4 with some momentum.

Where do YOU come up with that stuff?

I'd take someone like Ryan Fitzpatrick. That guy can play and usually has big games when he comes off the bench. He just can't keep it up.
