I came into a fairly substantial amount of money a few years ago and wanting to try my hand at flipping houses but looking for a partner to start. There have been no takers.
Sure. If you put up half the investment cost.I'll take. You flip, I get half. Deal?

He just paid for 3 of my beers. Thanks, Bob!Somebody take me to lunch on your expense account !!!
Flying highYou're a pilot? You are not welcome on the beer thread. Lol, jk. Watch the video Drunk on a Plane by Dierks Bentley.
Now, I've actually always found something to be very true, which is most people don't get those experiences because they never ask. I've never found anybody who didn't want to help me when I've asked them for help
I just wanted to update everyone. At first, it was scary. I had no jobs lined up and my part time job wasn't scheduling me. I started calling and emailing every contact I have and reaching out. Steve Jobs said this
I started picking up a lot of hours at my part time job, and then the phone started ringing. I got my first contract trip, and got along great with the other pilot, who happened to be the owner of the aircraft, as well. I ended up doing 3 days for him so far, with the promise of more work. Now, I am booked through the end of July, through multiple sources, so I'm already on track to exceed my earnings from the job I quit, with more control of my schedule, more nights at home, and the ability to say no.
It's been great so far. I have a job interview today with a local company. I like to keep my options open. I probably won't take it, but you never know.
Not exactly the same, but I went from a high salary job to a straight commission job four years ago.Well, I didn't just walk out. I decided to venture out on my own as a contractor. If I can line up at least 8 days of work contracting per month, I can make more than I was making. I also have a part time job, just in case. This is the first time I haven't been gainfully employed since I was 14, so it's been a big jump for me.
Have any of you guys done anything similar?

My folks owned a shopping center during the 90s by valley ranch. Mike Irvin, emmit and the entire bunch would get their haircut at a place called Le Cheveaux. One time Irvin tried to bribe my bro $20 to get in front of him at the barber shop. He said he was running late for practice.
Being a good cowboys fan, my bro said fine but don't make it a habit.
Thanks everyone for your encouragement. In August, I made 50% more than I would have made at my full time job, and my quality of life has been 200% better. September is a little slower, but still about 25% more than I would have made. I know it will be feast or famine, so I am going to save my money, but I am really thankful that everything has fallen into place.
